I hire Steve Girsky the first time I me him, He very easy to talk to than other. He did the child custody and adoption for me. It was fast and reasonably price.

If your looking for an attorney who truly cares and who’s professional this is the one. We recently completed an adoption with Mr Girsky. I do not regret selecting him for our process. It was fast, reasonably priced, and most importantly they keep you informed every step of the way. I would highly recommend Mr Girsky for your family needs.

This law office (Especially Rebecca Keller) performed a true miracle for me and my husband. We lost our 24 year old daughter in July 2020. She left behind a 4 year old son. The father had moved away to Colorado about 3 or 4 months before her death and had never been consistent in his life. Their divorce was finalized in feb 2020. The child had lived in our home his whole life except for the last 5 months as my daughter had gotten an apartment. I still provided for the child during this time. The father rarely paid child support. In TN grandparents have zero rights but I was determined that I was keeping my grandson! The father came in from Colorado with intentions to take my grandson. The father was served a restraining order so he couldn’t take the child until we went to court. When we went to court Steve put me on the stand and asked very important questions that led to the judge letting me keep temporary custody until a trial date was set. Rebecca drew up papers and had sent to the father. These papers asked questions about proof of employment, proof that he had residency in his name, proof that he had a room, clothes, and toys for the child. Proof of a car seat. It asked about his mental state, if he would do a drug test and etc... I believe this led to the father giving us the grandparents primary custody. I would highly recommend this law firm. They were wonderful and we were very pleased. This was a 5 month ordeal and we were charged one price at the beginning.

My husband and I worked with Steve Girsky for a step parent adoption, he was amazing and went above and beyond for my family and helping my husband to be able to adopt my daughter. I recommend him to anyone going through the same situation. He’s an amazing person and lawyer! We will definitely use him again if ever needed.

I worked with Mr. Girsky 2 years ago to adopt my stepdaughters. He was easy to talk to, caring and still continues to answers questions when I email him. He does not talk down to me and is understanding of my concerns. I'd recommend him to anyone!

I can’t thank Steve and Rebecca enough for what they did for us. Although I did not use Steve for my divorce (I absolutely should have because I overpaid way too much for my divorce lawyer and she wasn’t nearly as confident or experienced) I am so glad I chose him for my termination/adoption/relocation case. I had my initial consultation with Steve about possibly changing my current parenting plan but it wasn’t for months later I actually went back to him. When I went back I told him my circumstances about relocating and the lack of support and visitation their bio dad displayed. In my head I wondered about terminating his rights but hadn’t said it yet and Steve put out on the table and I was relieved. From then on it was honestly as smooth as it could be. He offered to let us make payments and he and Rebecca communicated every step of the way. We started with mediation that was not settled and then a court hearing for termination and relocation. The adoption/termination was pushed to a later date because my ex’s mother bought him a lawyer the day before court but our relocation was granted literally right before our military orders said we had to be there. Steve and Rebecca filed motions and worked so hard to make sure we were in court before we had to report to Michigan and it paid off. We truly had the best case scenario happen to us but Steve and Rebecca were not shy of what could happen as well. The were honest with all possible outcomes but were incredibly supportive and optimistic. From our date in August until our adoption hearing in March we have lived in Michigan and you would never know we lived in a different state. I can’t say enough about their communication and availability at any time. I would use them anytime I needed a lawyer if I could. Absolutely the best experience for what started out as bad situation. Steve was able to see us within 2 days of calling. He was attentive, respectful and extremely knowledgable about the law and my case, which involved a family issue. He was straight forward with me about my case. He returned calls on a Saturday and emails on a Sunday. He was very approachable and repeatedly asked questions to make sure he understood my side of the story. He successfully fought and won my case, Steve is obviously just a very nice guy. I met Steve and Becky over 5 years ago when my now ex-wife filed for divorce while I was deployed to Afghanistan. They were able to protect me from her initial onslaught even though I was thousands of miles away. They were there for me through a very bitter divorce and subsequent child custody battle where my ex refused to honor the Parenting Schedule. They were able to get me 50/50 custody of my little girl right after the divorce (which dads don't normally get here.). After 5 years of protecting me from countless unfounded criminal and civil accusations from an ex who only wants leverage to get full custody of our daughter, I'm happy to say that I am now the primary parent with majority custody. And my little girl thriving. This wouldn't have happened without Steve and Becky being by my side through everything. I'm not gonna lie; there were some dark, painful moments during this ordeal. And I know this long road won't end until my little girl is an adult. It gives me peace of mind knowing that I have the best team in town beside me all the way.

Mr. Girsky and Mrs. Keller did a fantastic job helping me gain custody of my children. I was sent updates and copies of court documents as submitted. Communication was mostly through email but I always received timely responses. The front desk was always helpful when I called or showed up to sign documents. My ex went all out to get custody, I wont get into details but it was super crazy, Mr. Girsky was still able to settle everything at mediation.

Mr. Girksy have been always professional, transparent about my case and their communication with me about every phase of my case was top notch! My case was was far from the normal divorce, but his paralegal helped me through this high-stress time of my life. She explained things the way that I could easily understand. It’s obvious why she is Mr. Girsky’s right hand gal! While in court (several times), Mr. Girksy was well prepared to argue my side every time!! I didn’t get the exact outcome that I expected, but as new facts emerged, Mr. Girksy helped to prepare me for the possible outcomes that may happen so that I wouldn’t be blind sided. If I need an attorney in the future, this office will be the first that I call!

As I went to post my review, I see some mixed things and have a hard time believing what I am reading. I have used Mr. Girsky for a few cases and have had nothing but great results. Mr. Girsky and his staff are exemplary of what a law firm should be. I found his Paralegals to be honest and up front and found Mr. Girsky to shoot me straight if he thought we needed to take a step back and look at the bigger picture. Not every case is a winning case and not every situation is the same when you consider the circumstances. I have been through this enough times to know that you win some, you lose some. It would not surprise me in the least (based on my experiences with Mr. Girsky) if the negative comments were made out of losing a case that just could not be won. I would recommend this firm time and time again if you want a lawyer and his support staff who will actually work your case and push the other side to step up.
