I was not at all happy with the service I received. I could not get Melissa to return a phone call within a 72hr period, approximately 2 hours before court I got a call from her office needing all sorts of paperwork and I had called her office approx 3 days prior to see if they needed anything, sho...wed up for court and got all emotional with the other lawyer and filled to even ask for what I really wanted because she had not reviewed the case in so long. Following court she had to re-accomplish several documents several times because of attention to detail. When I showed up at her office to sign the final paperwork to took over an hour because she does not provide her secretary or legal assistant with ADOBE PRO which would allow them to modify a PDF document versus having to retype and whiteout and copy the document. I overall was not impressed. Also be careful, I specifically asked did it make a difference if I paid in cash/check or credit card. I was told it did not. I received a bill with over $70.00 worth of credit card processing fees.

found her on this website and sent her an email. Her office called me back and when i went to see her she shot straight with me and told me the truth. Some of the truth was that i was doing things wrong. I didn't feel like i was being judged and i knew she truly wanted to help me. Guys this woma...n is the real deal.

This firm really helps men. I went into see her and knew that right away her intentions were in the right place. I was a little bit nervous because my first lawyer was paid way more money than what she was worth and didn't help me. I left Melissa's firm feeling like I had the skills to parent with... my ex even though we were divorced and got a refund because my case settled and I didn't expect that. Hopefully I never need another lawyer again but if I do I will use Melissa again!

Melissa understands what men have to deal with. I hired her at the end of 2014 and my case was resolved at the end of 2015. Everything you read shows that the courts are stacked against the father. I was an unmarried father with children in the south so I thought I was screwed. I'm happy to report th...at Melissa represented me fantastically and I now have the custody that my children and I deserve. I highly recommend her to other fathers out there.

After reading through her reviews, I have to agree that I was a happy man after our case. What drew me to Melissa was that she was a therapist before being a lawyer. I hired her a couple years ago when my son was having problems at school with his behavior and my ex was blaming everything on me. T...urns out after a long questioning of my son's therapist, my ex was telling my son what to say against me. I am convinced that had Melissa not have her background as a therapist, it would have been missed. Melissa was the third lawyer on the case and the only lawyer who understood the emotional needs of my son. Two years later all is well and my ex has been exposed. I have sent several people to Melissa who have all been pleased with her representation. Melissa is one of the few lawyers that can actually understand from a psychological standpoint what needs of kids are and I would not hire anyone else.
