Melissa L. Isaak focuses her practice on domestic relations for men. Prior to becoming an attorney, Ms. Isaak served in the United States Army as an active duty soldier for four years. After an honorable discharge from the military, Ms. Isaak worked as a child and adolescent therapist in both a residential hospital and in a private practice setting. She also worked as an adjunct professor of psychology at Wallace Community College in Dothan, Alabama where she taught courses in general psychology, human growth and development and statistics. Ms. Isaak also obtained a second masters degree in criminal justice and became a published author while conducting research for the United States Army Aeromedical Research Laboratory (USAARL). She then obtained her law degree from Barry University School of Law where she served as Senior Editor of the Barry Law Review. Lack of attention to detail
I was not at all happy with the service I received. I could not get Melissa to return a phone call within a 72hr period, approximately 2 hours before court I got a call from her office needing all sorts of paperwork and I had called her office approx 3 days prior to see if they needed anything, sho...
This is obviously a false review, since I have never had to "re-accomplish several documents several times because of attention to detail." This happens from time to time, when women will be upset because of the outcome of a case, or perhaps someone who disagrees with the premise of my firm. Clients have access to the lawyers, the assistants and none has ever emailed me with any complaints listed above.

Never responded after payment
Asked for her help prior to a 6-month deployment to ensure that I was able to talk with my child. Paid her $500 upfront and the only thing that I asked was for her to send a legal document to my ex-wife's atty. The expectation for me had she followed-up through on this first commitment was that I w...
While I strive to help men, I cannot help those with unreasonable expectations. Beginning litigation prior to a deployment can be risky and is not always in ones legal interests. There are no "legal documents" to send absent litigation. I would not represent this client again.
"Melissa is a very good attorney. She has a varied background, and that history provides her with a good perspective on her clients' needs. Melissa is aggressive, smart, and innovative. I recommend her for personal injury and social security work."
"I endorse this lawyer. Melissa is one of the most tenacious, zealous and loyal attorneys when it comes to representing her clients. I have had the pleasure of working with her and observed how she applies that tenacity into results for her clients."
"I endorse this lawyer. She has a pro-family, but not anti-mom approach, and she is a true champion for dads. I am a Miami attorney, having worked with Melissa on policy and education in the realm of equal parenting. I am so glad to see the work she is doing in Alabama."
"I endorse this lawyer. Melissa is a dedicated, diligent and professional attorney, bound to solve even the most complex and challenging cases. "I have had the honor of representing a mutual client of Ms. Isaak's in an unrelated matter. When I called her for clarification of issues in her case, her staff was top-notch, she returned my phone call quickly, and I could not have been more impressed by her intellect, and her recall of, interest in, and passion for the case. Our client's trust in her is well-founded, and I would not hesitate to recommend her in future. "A lady and a scholar.""
"I endorse this lawyer. Her answers and insight prove that she is able to offer clear and concise advice and to move her clients in the best direction based on her knowledge of the law."
"I endorse this lawyer. Attorney Isaak is an outstanding attorney with an excellent reputation. She is a strong and zealous advocate for her clients and a credit to the legal profession. I highly endorse her."
"Personal Injury Attorney Melissa Isaak provides aggressive representation for her clients insuring that their interests are always being protected."
