My experience with Joanna Mitchell

Joanna is a very thoughtful, fair and knowledgeable attorney, she handled my divorce and still represents me on an as needed basis when situations arise. She is very professional, and walked me through the whole process, explaining things in a way that I could easily understand, she was very diligent... in protecting my rights and ensuring a fair and balanced settlement, she provided me with excellent counsel when I was unsure on how to handle certain aspects of my case, so that I could make the best decisions for my particular circumstances. Joanna made a very difficult time much easier to coup with so that I could move on with my life. I would highly recommend her to anyone in need of the services that she provides, she didn't encourage confrontational situations just so she could rack up more billable hours, she is more about getting in done as efficiently and fairly as possible.

After payment of retainer, responsiveness dropped Dramatically

This attorney represented herself well upon consultation and initial visit. Once the retainer was paid, the communication became less proactive and no longer acted as a guide throughout the divorce process. The communication came more as a reaction to questions I had, often times after feeling like... I was left in the dark about the status of my case. Subsequently, this attorney did not even notify me that the final judgement of my case had been finalized and ordered until I found out through my ex, 15 days after being finalized, where I emailed this attorney and she stated she had been busy with family issues and indeed the judgement had been issued. She promptly notified me via email that her services to me had been fulfilled and our business had ended.

great lawyer

I hired Joanna in june of 2011 to handle my child custody case. She is by far a very good lawyer and also very cheap. I highly recommend her she is great! She didnt waste any time on getting my case started. I retained her and within a couple days I had all of the needed paper work needed to get my c...ase started. She is very good at answering any needed questions to the T. And she wastes no time responding to emails or phone calls. She is very friendly and very professional with her work. She was worth every pennie. I highly recommend her to anyone dealing with custody issues.

Excellent Lawyer!!!

I am from out of state and I hired Joanna to handle my Florida divorce. My ex-spouse was very uncooperative and Joanna handled all of the difficult issues with expertise. Joanna kept me informed of all issues throughout the process. Joanna did an excellent job negotiating at mediation to try and avoi...d the cost of a trial but my ex-spouse would not compromise. My case ended up going to trial. Joanna's professionalism and skills as an attorney won my case for me. I would highly recommend Joanna as an attorney to be at your side. Thank you so much everything!!!

Excellent and conscientious.

Joanna covers hearings and mediations for our firm, and has done so for over 2 years now. As our firm is located on the west coast, we rely heavily on the assistance of outside counsel for a variety of functions. Joanna is knowledgeable, reliable and above all, a great communicator. Joanna answers... all of our communications and her staff is always ready to assist. I highly recommend her.
