I am a Florida attorney with more than 15 years of courtroom experience representing clients in criminal defense and family law matters. My practice is based in Naples, and I represent clients in Collier, Lee, Hendry, and Miami-Dade Counties.
My criminal defense practice includes DUI, felony and misdemeanor charges, drug offenses, domestic violence cases, violations of probation, traffic offenses, suspended licenses, and other criminal matters. I also represent clients in divorce, parenting, child custody, and related family law cases.
I believe clients should understand what is happening in their case, what their options are, and what comes next. I prepare cases with litigation in mind from the beginning because meaningful negotiation is strongest when the other side knows you are prepared to go to court.
Before becoming an attorney, I served in the United States Army Reserve as a Combat Engineer and received an honorable discharge. I am a first-generation attorney and have spent my career representing individuals and families facing problems that can significantly affect their freedom, finances, children, and future.
My goal is straightforward: provide experienced, practical representation without unnecessary complication or expense.

Currently being investigated by the Florida Bar
As a retired Police Officer I paid him 2500.00 for my case for him to do absolutely nothing. Emailed him numerous times... nothing! Once he gets your money he's gone!! Like so many others who were duped..file a complaint with the bar!! He's a thief and a liar!

Replied last March 11, 2025My work on cases (except adoptions and cases involving child abuse) are public record and can be found on the Clerk's websites in Lee County, Collier County, Charlotte County, Miami-Dade County, and Broward County. I have been a solo practitioner for more than 12 years. I respond to emails in a reasonable time and clients can visit kenturnerlaw.com to schedule phone appointments 24/7. I represented this client in two cases. One case was a criminal matter where I obtained a dismissal of the charges. The other case was a family law matter where I completed approximately 12 hours of work on the case and advanced the case for more than 3 months. There were more than 800 filings in the case to review. I answered every question this client asked via email (client would send a series of emails asking the same question), there were multiple phone calls, I responded to text messages to my personal number, and I met with the client in person for more than 1 hour. Once the matter was on track, client demanded a full refund and told me that if I did not give him a full refund that he would file a complaint with the Florida Bar and leave these type of reviews. I do not negotiate with bullies and I do not pay ransoms. However, it is this kind of a person that has forced attorneys to raise their fees to unaffordable levels.

Do not hire!!! He will take your deposit & not do anything to represent you. He has a million excuses. He does not communicate with you, He does not return phone calls, emails , or texts. Stands you up in court!

You expect an attorney to answer your cold calls at your convenience but you can’t simply check the calendar that is made available 24/7.? And you want the lower fee?
