I am here to answer your questions. I want to earn your trust. Hiring an attorney is never an enjoyable process and I appreciate the value of your hard earned money. .
I was born and raised in northern Kentucky and Kentucky is where I learned the value of hard work and compassion. I have resided in southwest Florida for more than 10 years and Naples is now where I call home.
I decided I wanted to become an attorney to help people like my parents and family who often times found legal representation out of the reach. My dad is a retired steel foundry laborer who would come home from work beat up, sometimes burned, and tired. My mother also worked to provide for me and my brother. My parents still reside in Kentucky and have been married since 1972. I have a younger brother who works in the HVAC industry and he has also been a very successful high school football coach in Kentucky. I knew at an early age that I wanted to earn my living helping working people and families like my own. I am very proud to say that I am a first generation attorney.
I graduated from Campbell County High School, Northern Kentucky University, and then attended law school at Thomas M. Cooley Law School in Lansing, Michigan where I earned my Juris Doctorate. While attending law school, I got my first courtroom experience working for the late Robert Jacobs as a Certified Legal Intern in the Public Defender's Office in Fort Myers, Florida. My past experiences have shaped how I view the world today and I am extremely proud of my blue collar roots.
I have had the fortune to have worked for exemplary law firms. I gained a wealth of knowledge and experience while working in a support capacity for Associates and Bruce L. Scheiner, a top personal injury firm in Fort Myers, Florida. I then went to work in Naples, Florida for Scott Martin Roth and Associates, as my heart was drawing me back the criminal defense world and the rewarding work of family law. While working with Scott, I personally represented individuals in all types of family law and criminal defense matters.
In 2012, I opened up my own law practice in Naples, Florida; where the focus of the practice was divorce, child custody matters, and criminal defense.
I have taken many cases from initial phone call to trial. I am proud of the work I have done for my clients.
I still provide legal representation to those who find themselves in the darkest and most stressful times of their life. Whether it be divorce, child custody issues, DUI, drug possession or other general areas of the law. I am proud to be able to work for working people.
I also enjoyed a rewarding experiencing teaching in the criminal justice and legal studies departments at Southwest Florida College. In my free time, I enjoy kayak fishing and I have remained a lifelong Cincinnati Reds and Bengals fan. I reside in Naples, Florida and I am licensed to practice law in both Kentucky and Florida.

Attorney
Do not hire!!! He will take your deposit & not do anything to represent you. He has a million excuses. He does not communicate with you, He does not return phone calls, emails , or texts. Stands you up in court!
You can text my personal number. ‘You can email and call. My cell. But, from the beginning you are made aware that all you have to do is schedule an appointment right on my website. You expect an attorney to answer your cold calls at your convenience but you can’t simply check the calendar that is made available 24/7.? And you want the lower fee? So what you are saying is that you would rather pay $400 per hour than to take 5 minutes to look at the calendar? I’m not the right attorney for you then. Kenturnerlaw.com Stood you up in court?

WORST EVER RUN AWAY
Hired him took the money and ran never answers made me lose 80 k have new lawyer now but still lost 80k don’t care about it now just wanted divorce he said I would get half of everything and all he did was take all my money so lost 80k to my home and lost money to him what a bad choice I made and now...
I don’t know who this is, but I require $2,500 for a divorce. I don’t know how you lost $80k but I never promise anything. I say the same thing every time, “it’s equitable distribution, which means fair distribution.” I would never say “half of everything.” That is not the law.

Completely failed
I would put zero stars if possible. My case was dismissed because he failed to submit multiple documents and failed to inform me that I was supposed to appear in court, then he lied to my face pretending not to know what the issue was. I paid him $1250 for nothing. And getting a hold of him when I ne...
I spent more than 16 hours on your matter including representing you at hearing that was scheduled for 1 hour but lasted more than 3 hours and resulted in a temporary 50/50 parenting plan. I understand that you are upset but I did not lie to you and I certainly did not steal anything from you. I offered to continue to represent you even though the time spent on your case had already exceeded what you had paid (less than 9 hours of time plus a balance for process server fees). You were provided my personal cell number and you communicated with me via text, email, and phone throughout the time I represented you. We spoke regularly and I suspect you will not have your new attorneys personal cell number to randomly text at will and will be spending most of your time dealing with legal assistants and secretaries. If someone has told you that I lied to you, please have them give me a call to talk about it. I wish you the best.

Terrible Disappointment
Since hiring Ken, I've had a terrible time getting a hold of him. He doesn't respond in a timely manner but that turned into completely ignoring all my calls. Nine months of waiting for him to make a single move on the case has cost me several thousands of dollars, not to mention his fees. He's even ...
In this review I have been called a liar and I do not believe those are your true beliefs about me. But this is an accusation that I take very seriously. I understand that people need to vent and I might have disappointed you; but I am not a liar and I believe I am a damn good attorney. I have completed good work for you in the past and I will continue to do good work for clients at some of the lowest rates in the state of Florida.. I have appeared in court with you on more than one occasion and I have successfully brought those past issues to satisfying conclusions. I let you in on an temporary issue I was having with PDF documents uploading into the e-filing portal and discussed in detail with you how they were not showing up with any data in them once uploaded. This moment of personal vulnerability has been turned into an accusation of lying. I did not every say “oh, there must have been something wrong with my computer.” I wrote the code for my website. I am not technologically illiterate. I know that you know better. I include in my agreements very specific directions on what are the best communication procedures. I learned about this review via email. I respond to emails almost nonstop. Also, communication in writing prior to phone calls saves time and memorializes the discussion so that there can be fewer misunderstandings. I did not ever say that anything could be retroactively filed; I do not have a time machine to go back in time. I have had discussions about how retroactive child support and modifications worked, especially considering documents were filed pro se in the past that may not have been brought to conclusion and may still be pending. I apologize for your disappointment and I always try to be better and learn. I do not have dozens of messages and emails from any single person. I have responded, i have spoke to you on the phone. However, I will take from this review and reevaluate some systems and make improvements where necessary.. I have no record of any attorney for the Florida Bar calling me and I will check with them to be certain. I have a 24 hour answering service when I am not available. My email address is [email protected].

The threats are not necessary. Divorce is one of the most frustrating and stressful things a person can go through. As you stated in your review, you hired me to assist you in your divorce and then you canceled your divorce after the work had begun. I understand your frustration and the stress that you have been put through. However, once you direct me to cancel I cannot continue prosecuting your divorce. I believed that you had resolved your differences. If those circumstances have since changed, please let me know what I can do for you now and I will assist you in meeting your goals. I continue to invite you to tell me what I can do for you.
