When Johnny Bardine hung his shingle in a small office in St. Petersburg over a decade ago, he had at the core one mission--to help Tampa Bay individuals and families through the most difficult times of their lives and to do it with compassion, fierce advocacy, and efficiency. That charge comes from a deep and abiding sense of community--that we all have a stake here and a duty to leave this place better than we found it.

Replied last August 28, 2019This is not an accurate representation of what transpired. The reviewer retained me for legal services and then paid my fee in full. Shortly thereafter, he changed his mind and initiated a charge back through my merchant services account. The money he paid was immediately withdrawn from my operating account. I did not contest the chargeback as I had not yet performed services and believed the reviewer was entitled to a refund. Nevertheless, the bank resolved the dispute in my favor; however, to this day, the bank has not credited me with this money. In spite of that, I still agreed to refund the reviewer. He was contacting me via media that I do not frequently check and therefore missed his messages. Once discovered, I refunded the reviewer even though I've never been credited with any money related to to this matter. I apologized to him for the miscommunication. In the decade I've been in practice, I've worked hard to build a reputation as an ethical, honest, and communicative attorney. In that spirit, I wanted to clarify the circumstances of this event.
