Biography
Lara Davis graduated Cum Laude from the University of South Florida in 1992, and graduated With Honors from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Law in 1995. During law school, Ms. Davis served as a Member and then an Editor of the North Carolina Journal of International Law and Commercial Regulation.
Ms. Davis has been licensed to practice law in Virginia since 1996, where she practiced in the areas of marital and family law in private practice in Charlottesville, Virginia. After moving back to Florida, Ms. Davis was admitted to the Florida Bar and practiced law in a firm in South Tampa, concentrating in the areas of marital and family law. In 2009, Ms. Davis opened her own firm, The Women's Law Group, and concentrates in the areas of divorce, custody, child support, alimony, paternity, modificatins, and other areas of family law.
Ms. Davis is a member of several legal organizations, including a member of the International Academy of Collaborative Professionals, a member of the Family Law Inns of Court, the Family Law Section of both the Florida Bar and the Hillsborough County Bar Association, and the volunteer group Are You Safe. Ms. Davis also regularly volunteers her time at the Family Forms Clinic at the Tampa courthouse.
Ms. Davis has received the CV rating from Martindale Hubbell for Very High General Ethical Standard Rating.
