In it, Joryn recounts actual events as they unfolded, both the wars fought in the courtroom, as well as the collaborative accords negotiated at the conference table. I Never Saw My Father Again, The Divorce Court Effect, continues that discussion by elaborating on how to make the process more effective. Her third book, A Free Divorce Handbook, How to Organize a Collaborative Divorce Pro Bono Project debuted in October 2015. She published her next two Open for Business books, both intended for the collaborative practitioner, Managing Your Collaborative Practice for Passion & Profit and Changing the Way the World Gets Divorced, her book on collaborative marketing, in 2016.

Collaborative Divorce
My situation was too complicated for other agencies so they referred me to Open Palm Law. OPL called me and explained The Tampa Bay Pro Bono Collaborative Project. I cried with relief. Even though I still didn’t understand the scope of it, I knew it was my last hope for a desperately needed divorce. Austin did such an amazing job of explaining the collaborative process, using Joryn’s amazing posters, that my husband signed the agreement to go forward. We each received and read Joryn’s book, War Or Peace, and I started to realize what was being offered to us. God put the collaborative team together with knowledge and experience to match our situation perfectly. They were wonderful, through so many roadblocks, and I felt safe, beginning to end. In court, we would’ve spent everything we had and it would have destroyed our family. Instead, they helped us make an amicable agreement that met our needs and brought us to a fair conclusion. Angel was truly aptly named! He was truly a pleasure to work with, and to overcome the difficulties we had in achieving a result with which he could be comfortable. They care about my family!
I write this coming from a place of love for my family and wanting to do right by my wife and young son. I was unsure about what to do when my wife told me she wanted a divorce but through a friend I found Mrs. Jenkins at Open Palms. She and her excellent staff have helped guide me and my family through the process of working together to come to a reasonable and clean divorce settlement agreement (Doing what’s best for my family). The people at Open Palms have helped to comfort me and advised me through the most difficult time and decisions of my life. With their help I was able to make it through the process with little worries and confidence that I was doing what was best for my family given the circumstances. The best
Me and my now ex husband used this office for our divorce over 6 years ago and I honestly believe that one of the only reasons that we are still capable of having friendly conversations, is due to the process that this office provided for our divorce. They made sure that we never felt like we were bugging them or asking for too much and really looked into our unique situation to make sure that everyone was coming out of this with their heads above water. I recommend Joryn Jenkins to every one that I know, whether it be friends or strangers, looking for an office to use in any situation. Not that I would ever wish anyone to go through a divorce, but for what could have been a very difficult and painful process this office made it easy, painless and all around fair for everyone.

Excellent Lawyer
Joryn Jenkins and her staff are wonderful to work with. She steeped in midstream when my previous attorney abruptly moved out of state. Thankfully a lawyer friend specializing in another area of law recommended her. Joryn is straightforward and tells you like it is. She is a strong believer in the collaborative process (although my case did not lend itself to an amicable resolution), which is the way to go because the State of Florida, from my experience, seems to want both parties to reach an agreement and the case will go on and on until they arrive at that point. I heartily recommend Open Palm Law.

On 14 Feb 2019, I spoke with Ms. Jenkins regarding my child custody and child support issues. She was very respectful and professional. She took the time to listen to my concerns and offered me positive solutions to resolve my problem. You can tell she takes her job seriously and she looks out for the best interest of her client. Some attorneys start off the conversation about money and that tends to turn me away since I was a paralegal for over 10 years but her main focus is the issue at hand and what service she can provide to her client. Ms. Jenkins will point you in the right direction and be truthful and honest with her answers to your questions.
