I am a member of both the Florida bar and the Federal Southern, Northern, and Middle Districts of Florida.
I have tried over 140 criminal jury trials and have handled thousands of criminal cases. These cases range from DUI, DUI Manslaughter, Grand Theft, Burglary, Dealing in Stolen Property, the range of White Collar Criminal Offenses, Sexual Battery, Drug Trafficking, Weapons Offenses, Attempted Murder, and Murder.
I have been at the forefront in "Stand Your Ground" litigation and I have had great success for clients at both the pretrial, trial, and appellate phases of the criminal litigation process. The skills developed in the criminal trial realm have prepared me well for civil litigation, especially in the areas of civil rights litigation and personal injury.
Over the years, many law students have sat with me at trial in order to understand the inner workings of a trial. These experiences were very rewarding.
Clients can rest assured that I am constantly keeping up with cutting edge trial advocacy techniques and that I will be there for them every step of the way.

I endorse this lawyer. Mr. Cohen possess a rare technique that most defense attorney's lack: the ability to skillfully and professional speak with prosecutors in a way that gives him credibility and likeability. This may not sound like a lot, but it enables him get the best results for his clients. He is knowledgeable and always prepared. For example, as a prosecutor in the organized crime unit of the State Attorney's Office, Mr. Cohen was able to convince me about the weakness of my case and further convinced me that I had no choice but to drop the charges against his client. This is a rare thing once a case has been filed by a specialty unit
