Biography
Tony Bennett is a talented personal injury trial attorney with significant trial experience. He grew up in Jupiter, FL where he currently resides with his family. Mr. Bennett attended the University of Florida as a Bright Futures Scholar followed by obtaining his Juris Doctorate from Nova Southeastern University. As a lifelong Florida resident, Mr. Bennett has a unique passion for representing members of the community he grew up in.
After law school, Mr. Bennett worked for the Public Defender’s Office in Orange and Broward County, gaining invaluable trial experience in two very socially different jurisdictions. He was first chair on thirty-eight trials during his tenure as an Assistant Public Defender representing people accused of crimes ranging from simple misdemeanors to homicide, robbery, and white collar crime. Following the Public Defender’s Office, Mr. Bennett left criminal law and became the managing attorney for an insurance defense firm in Jupiter, FL. Working for insurance companies helped Mr. Bennett gain unique insight and knowledge into how insurance companies evaluate cases… and seek to deny claimants the fair value of the claim. Mr. Bennett was the first chair attorney for numerous trials in Palm Beach, Martin, St. Lucie, Indian River, and Dade county as an insurance defense attorney. He never lost any case he tried for insurance companies. Having tried many cases in numerous jurisdictions, Mr. Bennett is comfortable in any courtroom.
Fortunately, Mr. Bennett returned to client based representation as a Plaintiffs' attorney and his prior experience allows him to value interaction and communication with the client above all else. He demands nothing less than full and fair value for his clients injuries, but tirelessly strives to keep the client informed every step of the way about their case. Mr. Bennett has an uncanny ability to “cut through the fog” and efficiently resolve cases for his clients.
Mr. Bennett has experience in many different areas of practice including: personal injury, wrongful death, civil litigation, premises liability, negligent security, auto accidents and truck accidents. In June 2014, Tony Bennett was co-counsel in a wrongful death trial obtaining a $15.2 million dollar verdict in a tractor trailer versus motorcycle accident. Mr. Bennett is admitted to practice law throughout the State of Florida, the Southern District of Florida in Federal court, and Washington D.C.
