Biography

My name is Eddie Stephens and I am a Board Certified Family Law Attorney who has practiced family law in Palm Beach County my entire legal career.

With 29 years of litigation experience, I specialize in high-conflict, high-asset divorce cases. I focus on helping clients with domestic legal issues such as property division, business valuation, child support and spousal support, child custody and visitation, post-judgment modifications, child relocation, same sex marriages, and both prenuptial and postnuptial agreements.

I have earned the AV® Preeminent™ Peer Review Rating by Martindale-Hubbell, a professional rating indicating the highest ethical standards and professional ability. I have also been selected for inclusion in Best Lawyers in America ®, a peer-review publication recognizing the top 4% of attorneys in the country.

Having tried hundreds of high-conflict divorce cases in Palm Beach County, my hourly rate is higher than the average family law attorney due to my experiences and expertise. I also oversee a team of lawyers with varying levels of experience and hourly rates.

In addition to practicing family law, I am also proud to call myself an author, lecturer, and community leader. As a sixth generation Floridian, I am a concerned citizen of Palm Beach County who volunteers and supports a number of civic and charitable organizations to better the community including Center for Child Counseling, Leadership Palm Beach County, Kelsey Cares, Kibblez of Love, Inc, and Boy Scouts of America.

As a divorced father of two teenage children, I know first-hand what’s at stake when counseling my clients. My hobbies include cooking, yoga, camping and spending time with my family.

In my spare time, I like to write my own summaries on every family law case published in Florida; I call them “squibs.” While I started the “squibs” as a way for me to learn about the cases, I also enjoy sharing them with my colleagues and they are published by the Family Section of the Florida Bar. Long overdue

For the past year and a half, I have been going through a nasty divorce with a narcissist that is never ending. Eddie has been the legal rock that has gotten me through this process. Extremely knowledge and concerned about his clients

As a construction company owner I come into contact with lawyers throughout the year and as such have formed a fairly accurate assessment however Eddie has broken that actually shattered it. He came into my case late into the years of dispute since then I have gotten with respect to my former council...'s clear precise legal and personal advice. His team is the best and give outstanding personal attention to every detail. I only wish he did more than family law. Thank you Eddie.

Best of the Best

When I was going through my divorce, I not only had non-marital assets that needed protection (and they are complex at that), but my ex's attorney was extremely uncooperative. Eddie and crew showed me time and time again why it was worth every penny to hire them. He has integrity in a way that you mi...ght not expect a lawyer to show, but this does not make him weak. He is smart, knows what he is doing, and in the end, was able to help me settle the case. I couldn't have done it without him and I doubt others could have helped me the way he did.
