Biography
My passion is helping people build successful businesses and then working with those people to protect their hard earned wealth. Through sound business and estate planning, I help people ensure that their wealth and wisdom is passed on the way they want in the manner that they want.
For the last 25 years, I have been in the trenches fighting people’s battles. Before becoming an attorney, I was a Marine Corps officer. I started my legal career resolving business disputes. The longer I practiced, the more I observed two things: 1) regardless of how “right” or “correct” my client was, the court process took an enormous amount of time and money; and 2) many of the issues that occurred during the litigation before a trial or arbitration could very well have been avoided with better planning.
If there’s one thing that the Marine Corps taught me is that planning is a key to success. Taking a lesson from the ancient Master of Strategy, Sun Tzu, those who properly plan ahead will be successful in all their endeavors. The truth is that both businesses and people need to plan ahead, especially for those they care about the most.
As a Marine, I learned about mission accomplishment, strategy, and tactics. I decided that I would build a practice on performing these tasks for clients. Defining a client’s goals gives clarity on what needs to be accomplished. Strategies can then be created to achieve a client’s goals. Throughout the strategy development process, the client participates, comments and questions. Once a particular strategy is chosen, tactics are then picked to implement the strategy. One of the biggest benefits of working with us is that you as the client, will have developed a stronger relationship with us once the initial goal-setting and strategy development process is completed. This merger of legal acumen and military strategy means that all work is focused on accomplishing client goals.
