Ginger tabby number 2, our last rescue, Tigger favors my lap and kneads, unlike his older sibling, loves to play chase, and whines for milk, whenever a human is by a refrigerator and he's around.
Rescue Cat number one, Ginger, is our female ginger tabby. Favoring Anita's lap over mine, she loves to chase the red laser (though not up the wall like Tigger) and expects salmon-flavored treats before I get my coffee in the morning.
We named her Cloe and spelled it that way for family reasons. She is our blonde-haired, blue-eyed Huskie. We might have appropriately named her "Digger."
Sophie is our "old lady." Incessantly barking at anyone she does not know well, this Mini Schnauzer is to my chagrin training Cloe to mimic her. Here is one of her less guard dog moments after a bath and a trim.
Both my boys in front of UGA's "Dawg House," Sanford Stadium, a few years ago. The one on the right graduates from the Terry College of Business this summer and is, despite his father's urging to the contrary, off to law school next semester.
Anita and I attended Chris Tomlin's most recent concert here in Georgia at the Gwinnett Arena, where we heard him perform "Good, Good Father" for the first time live.
Just before the first Christmas Party I ever attended with my wife, Anita.
Just another day at the office before I got my new "specs."

Excellent Legal Advice and Estate Planning
We have used Welch Counsel on several occasions including updating our woefully outdated will and end of life directives. We now have a comprehensive estate plan that protects our estate from the vagaries of changing tax law and preserves wealth transfer to our daughters and future grandchildren. In a separate transaction Welch Counsel guided us with a complicated private real estate transaction. With their knowledge and experience the closing went flawlessly. For each case we received sage advice, wisdom and guidance beyond our expectations. The Welch Counsel firm addressed what we wanted to accomplish for our family and brought other issues to our attention that we had not considered. God's Provision
Steve has guided me through very difficult circumstances related to my mother's end of life and the execution of her will. With insightfulness and intellect he stood in the gap to protect me in these matters. Appropriately, I set the goal and he developed the strategy to accomplish it. He has done all that he said he would and has done it with great care and integrity. I was referred to Steve via a multi-person series of recommendations and I consider that it was God's provision for all I needed in this concern. He is worth his rate and then some. Absolutely the most thorough and detailed Attorney. It took seems like a year to hash out all the complicated issues of the sale of our company. Steve went above and beyond right from the start. First of all he responded quickly to questions and accurately answered them. He was very kind and patient when an explanations were needed. It was rare for him to be unavailable but when he was he always got back to us promptly.That means a lot that someone is taking your planning as seriously as you are. Estate Planning - Trust
Simply put, Steve was (and continues to be) a blessing to our family. As my father's health began to deteriorate quickly, we realized that there was no plan in place for his estate. It was overwhelming enough managing his care, let alone thinking about how to protect his assets. It was at this point a friend referred us to Steve. Right from the onset, Steve began working on my father's behalf. He answered questions; he made the whole process clear and straightforward. The characteristic I most admired about Steve throughout this process was his compassion. We weren't just a number or a business transaction. It was apparent that Steve genuinely was working for US and put US first. We truly appreciate everything he did for us.

Steven helped my wife and me with our Estate Planning 15 years ago. When we decided to update our information, we went back to him. He remembered us, and was glad to assist us again. Hid approach was methodical and efficient. He covered every section and explained how the laws had changed and how they would affect us now. Extremely thorough and knowledgeable
We met Steven last year when we were looking for someone to help with our estate planning and establish trust funds for my wife and me. We had an initial meeting with Steven and he explained in detail how each of the Trusts would be set up keeping in mind our personal situations. He was very knowledgeable regarding how best to set up the trusts minimizing any future tax implications. Steven was extremely thorough and patient, effectively communicating all the steps necessary to establish the Trusts and then fund them. We had many questions throughout the process and Steven always responded with helpful and timely answers. Establishing the Trusts had been something I had put off for some time, Steven made everything so much easier, and it was a relief to get it all done. Steven was always looking after our best interests and we feel very fortunate to have met him and grateful to have him as out attorney.

Honest and fair, this lawyer is someone you can trust
I've used Steven for a few things. First, he did my mediation for my divorce and he was amazing and educational through the entire process. He made a difficult situation go smoothly and fairly for both parties. Second, I used him to incorporate my business and again what seemed overwhelming to me became simple when he helped me. Lastly, he did my LLC and Living Wills for both my husband and myself. These were invaluable to us and something that I would only trust Steven to do.
