This attorney seemed very knowledgeable, recommended the strategy that seemed to fit our problem. Over a two month period, I evaluated his recommended strategy, tried to make sure he had the facts and we were on the same page before paying his full fee plus costs in advance of proceeding. I had to s...end multiple emails to get even partial answers but felt OK to go ahead. Two days before the filing and after he his staff processed the papers, he changes his mind, refuses to go ahead with the strategy he recommended and which was the basis of my going ahead and paying the full fee. I ask for a refund of unearned fee citing his contract which states "fee fully earned when paid". I had offered him 50% of his fee even though he didn't file. My only option sue and decided to "move on". My take on this is that he may have too many clients.
