Stole my brothers money

Dear Mr Gaviria, my brother Jorge Guzman hired you as his attorney in September of 2020 to defend him in a case in Miami criminal court. Not only did Mr Gaviria take himself off the case he also never returned the money back , this is a unprofessional move coming from an attorney with your background... & it’s appalling that this transpired. I understand that my brother contacted the bar association because he was unhappy with your work ethic/ belief of him but you could of just returned the money back & unassigned yourself from the case. We are hard working people who count on every penny to survive and because of your actions my brother was forced to get assigned a public defender to represent him. If you wish to contact me with an apology or the refund at least my email will be below even though I don’t expect a retraction from you sir I’ll just let karma do it’s job because everything gets paid here on earth my friend !! Mr. Guzman, I don’t think you have the facts straight. Your brother in fact did hire me to take over the case from the public defender. Your brother had an outstanding warrant and the state had moved to have him taken into custody for violating the conditions of his bond. Your brother had no legitimate reason for missing court and the judge held him no bond. I was actively working on getting him released when he filed a bogus bar complaint against me. That bar complaint is in the process of being dismissed. Once he filed a bar complaint I’m required to seek to remove myself from representing him. The judge removed me from the case. I fulfilled my obligation as an attorney to zealously represent your brother. Your negative posts seems to be an attempt to get me to return the retainer I lawfully earned.

Hit and run

Once he has your retainer he will not help you. I never met with him. One of his associates met with me and got my retainer. After that he never called me or helped me. He just told me “ would you rather have me handle your case or talk to you?” He NEVER came to visit me and always said do not talk a...bout the case. I realized that he just wanted the money and then told me to take a plea. $10,000 for me and $10,000 for my brother.

Good Lawyer & Listener

Frank was a good listener to my legal issues. He was there to help me & offer advice when I was in a low period. I had consulted w many other attorneys. Great Job
