Brooke believes clients are the experts in their own lives, and creates a safe space for parties to feel heard and respected while brainstorming solutions in the best interest of all parties. Her goal is to empower individuals to exercise self determination and resolve their own problems without giving away their power and to keep clients from being traumatized or re-traumatized by impersonal and dehumanizing court systems and processes.
Brooke is a Florida Supreme Court Certified County, Family, & Circuit Civil Mediator; Qualified Arbitrator; Elder Mediator; and Eldercaring Coordinator, known mostly for her compassionate case management of the divorce process for dozens of Florida couples.
She empowers divorcing couples to do so with dignity and privacy as they focus on the positive and on the future, limit psychological and financial damage, heal from the grief of divorce, protect their family and get on with life.
Since graduating from Harvard Law School in 1996, Brooke has practiced in multiple areas of the law as an active member of the Florida Bar.

Helping all kinds of people--employers and employees, landlords and tenants, buyers and sellers, neighbors and neighborhoods--to resolve their issues and conflicts prior to resorting to costly and dehumanizing litigation. Relationship: Fellow lawyer in community
I’ve known Brooke since shortly after having moved to Brevard County. As a fellow mediator and attorney, I can attest to her excellent reputation among local attorneys. She is honest and thorough, taking time to discuss issues rather than clumsily pushing a particular position. Brooke is well geared to listen to, and factor in, multiple viewpoints. In addition to being intelligent and proficient in everything she does, she is also a very approachable person. While being friendly may not be the single most important characteristic, it certainly doesn’t hurt. I am pleased to endorse Brooke as a fellow attorney and as a mediator.

I endorse Brooke's work wholeheartedly. After 46 years as a practicing divorce lawyer, I think I have a pretty good sense of what is for real and what isn't. Brooke Deratany Goldfarb is the real thing. While I do not know her personally, I have had occasion to see some of her work and it is excellent. She strikes me as being an exceptionally good lawyer and I have no doubt that she is going to spare countless divorcing couples and their families from unnecessary pain and expense.
