Andrew Burton Pickett is a trial attorney in Melbourne, Florida, and the founder of Andrew Pickett Law, PLLC (established February 2018). His path to plaintiff-side work began in the courtroom: after earning his J.D. from the University of Florida Levin College of Law and an LL.M. in estate planning from the University of Miami, Andrew decided trial work was his path. He served about four years as a prosecutor in the 18th Judicial Circuit, trying roughly 42 jury trials to verdict. He now puts that trial foundation to work for injured individuals and families across Brevard County in personal injury, wrongful death, motor vehicle, premises liability, and sexual abuse civil cases. He works on a contingency basis, with a free initial consultation. Rather than positioning cases for quick settlement, his firm prepares each file for trial, a method reflected in jury verdicts including $9 million in a wrongful death case and $6.6 million against State Farm.
