We represent exclusively businesses and employers. 

Ms. Meglino defends against cases including employment discrimination, sexual harassment, retaliation, overtime, and unpaid wages, FMLA leave and disability cases, ADA cases, and other employment law claims under state and federal laws. 

Ms. Meglino earned her Juris Doctorate degree from the Barry University School of Law, where she was actively involved as Vice Justice of the Moot Court Honors Board and received the award for Most Valuable Advocate, as well as Runner-up in a National First Amendment Competition. She also received one of two awards given to Barry Law graduates, the ALI-ABA Scholarship and Leadership Award. 

Currently, Ms. Meglino serves on the Central Florida Association for Women Lawyers Board, Harbor House Young Professional Board, and the OCBA Young Lawyers Board  She also volunteers as a Wish Granter for the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

Ms. Meglino is admitted to practice in all Florida State Courts, as well as the Southern, Middle, and Northern District Courts in Florida.

    I litigate employment law claims in both state and federal court. I am admitted to the Southern, Middle, and Northern District Courts in Florida

    A large majority of the claims we see filed are breach of contract claims. We can defend against lawsuits, help you reach a resolution of a contract dispute, or help your business enforce its agreements including breach of non-compete agreements.

I found myself in the midst of a delicate, high-value contract negotiation between my company based in Australia and a firm in Florida. Good lawyer

I hired Heather for my mom who had been fired from her job after 16 years. She filed for unemployment and her former employer tried to appeal the case. Heather was very detailed, and specific on what we had to do during the trial. Long story short we won the case. It was a small case, but felt like a really big victory to my mom. It lifted her spirit, and helped her get out of a bad slum. I would highly recommend her to anyone in a similar situation, she is really good at what she does.

Wow. Heather is an AMAZING lawyer and person! She helped me earlier this year with negotiating severance after being terminated. I was in a really bad situation and she helped me get the best possible agreeement for me. Heather is a standup lawyer, who truly cares about those she represents, got me a much better deal than I thought was possible (without even asking), and she was quick. We submitted a claim to our homeowners insurance company. After four exhausting months of back and forth with the Insurance adjustor we received a denial for our claim in the mail. Because we felt so strongly that our claim should be covered by the Insurance company we decided to hire an attorney. We met with Ms. Meglino and she was very professional, personable and sincere about what we were going through.
