Biography
William A. Davis, Jr., is an AV-rated civil trial lawyer. He specializes in trial practice, with an emphasis on significant insurance litigation. Mr. Davis has also been recognized many times by Florida Trend Magazine as a member of Florida’s Legal Elite, a designation received by less than 2% of Florida lawyers. Mr. Davis’ broad experience includes the personal handling of hundreds of insurance lawsuits. He has tried many jury trials to verdict, including several seven-figure cases. He has managed the in-house Florida law offices for two national insurance companies and in this capacity supervised many other lawyers. He has provided dozens of coverage opinions and has handled many multiple competing claim global presuit settlement conferences. As a certified Florida instructor of insurance adjuster continuing education, Mr. Davis has taught many insurance seminars to insurance claims staff, with a focus on bad faith.
Mr. Davis has been very involved in bar association activities. He is a past chair of the Orange County Bar Association's Insurance Law Committee and the Judicial Relations Committee, receiving a Bar award for this work. He is the Immediate Past President of the Board of Trustees of the Orange County Legal Aid Society. He has served as Chairman and Lecturer for the Professional Education Seminar "An Afternoon at the Courthouse" many times, receiving a bar association award for his service. He is very active as a Legal Aid Volunteer, prosecuting custody lawsuits for indigent members of the community. He is a recipient of the Legal Aid Award of Excellence.
