There when I needed him!

I found myself in a bind with a previous employer and after a review of some lawyers I selected Don. I called Don, he answered, and we met that same day. Don made me feel confident and safe about the possible outcomes of my situation. I wasn't able to keep my job (as advised by Don previously), but was able to depart with a excellent severance package that made my transition back in to the job hunt more doable. He kept me updated throughout the process and I was very happy to have him as my advocate.

So glad I hired Don!

So glad I hired Don!

Don was such an excellent lawyer. He was well informed on all the questions I had, and was amazingly responsive to all of my phone calls and emails! He was very diligent in helping me resolve my case, and I can't thank him enough!

Best possible outcome

Don set an appointment for me quickly, which was good since everything was happening so fast at work. I came prepared to our meeting with all my evidence and paperwork. We discussed and strategized the case for a little over an hour and came up with a plan. This helped me prepare for my final meeting with my employer, and ensured the best possible outcome. I can’t be too specific, but it was better than I imagined. I attribute that to Don’s guidance and assistance with my preparation.

Couldn’t have made a better choice!

When my previous employer terminated my employment for an unlawful reason, I was dreading having to contact a lawyer and the additional stress of dealing with a legal case. Thankfully my search found Don. He truly was an answer to prayer. I emailed him to see if I even had a case and he replied right away. Anytime I needed anything or had a question he was right there. His calm demeanor and knowledge of the law made me feel very confident in not only my representation, but in the outcome of my case. Hopefully I am never in the position of needing his services again, but if I do, I wouldn’t go with anyone else. I definitely encourage anyone who needs an employment attorney to go with Don.

Professional and Thorough

Don McManus is an outstanding attorney. He was able to successfully counsel me through some standard employment documents, but made sure that I was appropriately protecting my longer-term career goals and interests. He was incredibly responsive and made sure that our engagement met my specific needs. I strongly recommend him to any person who needs guidance with matters of employment. Excellent Attorney

I have been a client for the past year and Don represented me in a very tiring lawsuit. He was successfully able to secure the end resolution I was looking for. He always maintained professionalism and remained in constant contact with me throughout this process. I hope that I never need an employment lawyer again. However, if I do, I know who I will be retaining again! Highly recommend.

Absolutely great service!

I needed assistance with a personal matter and contacted Don. He listened and was professional, courteous, knowledgeable, and efficient. Within 2 hours, he had sent out the necessary paperwork. I cannot say enough great things about him. I would definitely hire him again in a second and would highly recommend him to anyone in the Orlando area who needs a great attorney.

Great Attorney!

I consulted Don McManus after my employer failed to reimburse me for travel and expenses for a conference in December, as well as mileage since October. After hiring this attorney, I was reimbursed two days later! I should have hired him sooner! He was very professional and polite. If I ever have another problem, I will be speaking with Mr. McManus again.

Excellent Attorney for Employment and Labor Law

Mr. McManus is an excellent attorney . When I first met him I was distraught, very upset and afraid of taking the appropriate steps in order to protect myself with an unusual employment situation. He put me at ease as he was very supportive, trustworthy and always available during the legal process. We actually won the case and he helped me maintain my position of employment. I would recommend his expert advise and experience to council clients with a difficult employment situation. I thank him from the bottom of my heart for helping me at a time when I had no hope.

Don McManus provided us with a very personalized style of service that definitely set him apart from other counsel we have utilized in the past. He was very focused and detail oriented in the small details of our case that we would have overlooked that were the difference in Mr. McManus building a stronger case in our favor. Do not waste your time and money!

I was experiencing sexual harassment and retaliation at work. Came in for a consultation with this attorney. He did not provide any helpful advice to me, discouraged me from going on with my case. While other attorneys advised me that I had a strong case and gladly helped me pursue it. Mr. McManus did not explain all my options to me, never returned any of my calls and never followed up on his promises. I believe he is not there to advocate for his clients and allows his personal views to interfere with his law practice.

This review was not submitted by a client. It was posted a couple days after I discredited a witness at a hearing. (Coincidence? I think not). My understanding is that, unfortunately, it is impossible to have reviews removed unless the reviewer consents to the removal. So, even though I asked AVVO to ask for some type of proof that this person was actually a client, like a copy of the consultation agreement, or a receipt number, or anything.... the review remains.
