Injunction Case

I hired Valerie Prevatte to represent me with an injunction case against me in Santa Rosa County. The best decision I could have ever made and I knew she was the attorney I wanted to represent me since we originally spoke. Valerie took the time to explain to me what needed to be done, so she can best... represent me. She had the best communication, professionalism and expertise. I was nervous and quite frankly expected the worst, but Valerie Prevatte prepared me very well before our hearing. The day of the court case Valerie Prevatte fought for me with great passion through the entire hearing. The outcome was in my favor and the injunction was dismissed based on a lot of inconsistency from the other party. Do not ever hesitate to contact and hire Valerie Prevatte. She’s the best attorney and the right attorney for you. I absolutely recommend her!!! Thank you for Valerie!

The Best Lawyer Hands Down!!!!!!

Not only did she save my life once, she saved it TWICE. She answers every call, every email, and gives out updates daily. You can reach her or her assistant at ALL TIMES! You will sleep peacefully knowing she is handling your case. She will without a doubt get you the best result. No need to look any...where else for a lawyer, Mrs. Prevatte is the BEST!!!!!

Fantastic attorney, provided an incredible defense.

I came to Ms. Prevatte seeking representation dealing with a battery case. During her consultation it became apparent to me that she was a great fit, and exactly who I needed to guide me through this daunting process. She is very knowledgeable, and had a perfect response for any questions I had. Duri...ng the process she was always quick to call with updates, or respond to emails. Ultimately this case went to trial, and her defense arguments were powerful, well spoken, and ultimately convincing to the jury, as I was found not guilty. Over all I HIGHLY recommend Ms. Prevatte.

Experienced, Dedicated Attorney; Highly Recommended!

Ms. Prevatte did a fantastic job of explaining the legal ramifications of my situation, providing me with my options, and setting expectations for my case. She always responded to my inquiries in a timely manner and she frequently communicated updates to me. Although my case was a minor one, she made... me feel as though it were a priority for her. I could not have asked for a better result or for better representation. I highly recommend Ms. Prevatte if you are looking for an experienced attorney in the Pensacola area.

NOT A GOOD LAWYER

At my initial consultation she told me she was going to do all types of things for me on my case but once I hired her and gave her the money I got absolutely nothing. It was hard to get ahold of her and when I did get in touch with her she was short and rude to me. She said she could not be agg...ressive in defending my case because she has to work with the district attorney and police officers on a daily basis and did not want to hurt her relationship with them. So even though I had legal defenses she did not pursue them because she was too concerned about her relationship with the people prosecuting me. Furthermore, she set up hearings and events on days she knew months in advance were not good for me which was very frustrating. She showed me and my case minimum attention at best. She does not fight very hard for her clients.

Unfortunately, the Florida Bar restricts my ability to fully respond to this review because I cannot reveal the identity of the individual who posted this which would enable prospective clients to look at the public records and see for themselves the situation. Suffice it to say that sometimes individuals get upset with me when they learn that I will not agree to engage in unethical, illegal tactics that would jeopardize my bar license, my personal values, or my reputation for honesty with the judiciary. Ironically, I didn't even represent this individual in her criminal case. I assisted her in another matter but I didn't take her criminal case because her judgment was clouded by her mental disabilities and she wanted me to do specific unethical things. I didn't "take her money and do nothing." I won a very difficult injunction case for her even though the odds were completely against us. During the short time I represented her, she frequently became angry about things that were beyond my control, such as when the injunction hearings were scheduled by the court weeks in advance or that I was unable to always meet with her the numerous times she dropped into my office without an appointment. She says that I made statements that I never made (we don't even call them "district attorneys" and I don't "work with the cops on a daily basis"). The notion that I (or any other defense attorney) would not pursue a valid legal defense to preserve a "relationship" with the prosecution is absurd and would erode the fabric of our constitutional protections. I don't apologize for doing my job within the boundaries of the Federal and Florida Bar rules, regulations and statutes and I will continue to uphold the principles for which I took a solemn oath 20 years ago.
