Hiring Joe Bodiford as my lawyer was the best decision I could have ever made. He defended me in a DUI case and with his expert knowledge of the law was able to make the jury understand his side of the argument. He is not only a great lawyer, he is a great person. My college age son was arrested in Tampa about a year ago. I live in the Washington, DC area and knew no local attorneys. Joe Bodiford was recommended through the Florida Bar and I could not have gotten better counsel. Mr. Bodiford was professional yet understanding and personable. He kept me fully... informed of each stage of the process and was happy to answer the many questions my son and I had. It is evident that Mr. Bodiford has many years of experience. He presented all the options we could pursue and their respective consequences, but also offered his candid opinion. Mr. Bodiford runs a tight ship; his associate exhibited many of the same professional traits and approached the case with the same commitment and care. The charges were reduced and all that remained to make us whole again was expunging the record. Unfortunately, before Mr. Bodiford's associate could complete that step, he passed away. Mr. Bodiford called to let me know that he would handle the expungement personally and that I should not worry because it was not time sensitive. Only the complete trust and confidence I had in Mr. Bodiford allowed me to relax and be patient. Mr. Bodiford is now arranging for the expungement. His office is so efficient and well organized that two mintutes after we started talking on the phone, he had my son's file at hand and recalled the history and status of the case. I have no doubt that all will go well. Mr. Bodiford is well respected in the legal community because he is a man of great integrity, honesty, and commitment to his profession.

This was a first degree felony case. Joe was able to successfully resolve this situation without a guilty plea, no jail time and minimal probation requirements. Joe took a very,very tragic case and helped preserve my future. This was a case that had multiple layers and I could not have asked for more... from an attorney.

From the outset, Mr. Bodiford was a man of character and handled my Criminal Mischief case like a pro. Once explained how I was being railroaded by the system from the very beginning, he had an immediate plan and had told me that not only could we win this case, but that we would also have the entir...e file expunged (which we did). It is unfortunate that the law allows others the opportunity to blatantly go out to smear the good name and integrity of hard working and honest people in Florida, but I felt fortunate to have such a diligent and extremely knowledgable attorney like Joe. Not once did I ever feel like I was alone in my case, and I was assured that he had my back all the way. It's over! I was accused of three very serious crimes and facing 6 years in prison. The problem with the case from the start is the accuser was clearly lying. Only after consulting with 2 other attorneys did I meet Joe and I knew right away he was going to represent me. You don't find many board cert...ified trial lawyers let alone one like him. Joe and his staff knew from the start that I was not guilty and treated me that way the entire time. His staff found critical details in the evidence that otherwise would have gone unnoticed. Because of all of the time and hard work that was put into my defense, I am pleased to report that on Oct 26th and 27th of 2011, I was acquitted of all three charges. The first acquittal for 1 charge came from Joe entering and arguing a motion to acquit which the judge granted at states rest! The other two charges were returned by the jury as NOT GUILTY! I must say he was just fascinating in court. Joe, I can't thank you enough. You stuck by me and now I get my life back.
