Not just a lawyer but someone who cares

In 2014 I had an injury from my job, not an on the job injury specifically but because of my job. I had been declined workers comp twice by the insurance company my job used. Talked to some attorneys and no one thought I had a case. I was referred to Tom from my mothers BR attorney. Best thing I ever... did. I had a slap tear in my right shoulder, two herniated discs in my C-4 C-5 vertebrae and carpal tunnel in my left wrist. Tom took my case and knocked it out of the ball park. We won, ended up having 2 of the 3 surgeries and settled the rest for $97,500. But Tom just didn't take care of me, he took care of my family. Of course I was fired from my job, but not only that one but the other I was working at while my case was being decided. I've got a wife and two daughters 5 and 7 that I was responsible for, and I didn't know how I was going to do it. Of course this last Christmas roles around and I didn't know what to do for my babies. Out of the blue I get an email from Toms office saying my family was selected by them for secret Santa. Huge for us. My girls got what they were wanting, two dolls that looked like American girl dolls, extra outfits for both of them and a bunk bed for them as well, and a $50 gift card for my wife and I. Life saver. But not only that, I had filed bankruptcy Feburary this year, chapter 7, it was discharged before my workers comp settlement and the Bankruptcy court tried to take it all. My family and I were freaking out. A month rolls by while my BR attorney is still trying to get my WC settlement back and I get an email from Tom stating he sent my family and I a $1,000 advance out of the blue! It couldn't of been a better time for that. I didn't ask for it, his work was done. He won me my WC case and settlement and now everything rests in my Bankruptcy attorney. He didn't forget about me or my family, he solely done it out of the kindness of his heart. And his paralegal, Ann Taylor, best in the world. She'd bend over backwards for you to get things done. 10,000% reliable these 2. They are truly a dynamic duo and a force not to be reckoned with. I settled my workers comp case back in August 2016, and to this day I'm still in contact with Tom Holder. My BR case was finally settled. But Tom Holder and his staff ain't just the best lawyers in the city, but they are great human beings and a true blessing. These are people that you don't have to worry about if they've forgotten about you or not, or if they are doing everything they can, because I can assure you if it can be done, Tom Holder and his staff already done it. Most attorneys clock out in the evening and go home and might get back in touch with you next BUISNESS day. Not Tom! I've received emails from this man about my case at 10:30 at night, emails from him when he's out of the office on BUISNESS. Tom is a saint and it's been an absolute blessing to work with him and his staff. But even though he's a brilliant attorney, he's an even better person. Tom is one man I'll never forget. So attorneys are a dime a dozen, but if your truly looking for one that cares about you and not his pockets, Tom Holder is definitely the one for you. I could never say enough about him or his staff. It's been truly an honor.

Tom Holder is an excellent workers comp. attorney.

I was working at a pretty known reputable company in their shipping department. While packing a box one day, I hurt my shoulder. I followed all the guidelines that was expected of me, but my workers comp. insurance at my work refused to accept the claim. That's when I called Tom Holder. Tom immed...iately got on the case and got to work. Though my employer dug their feet in, Tom wore them down and got my employer to agree to a settlement. It was pleasantly more than expected. Tom was always professional, kind, courteous, and worked very hard on my case. I would highly recommend Tom as a lawyer for any legal situation.

Lawyer Par Excellence!

Thomas L. Holder, Esq., of Long & Holder, LLP Law Firm is a true legal professional. On the scale from 1 to 10, Tom’s legal knowledge, his in depth workmen compensation experience, easy access to his clients, and his remarkable communication skills are key factors why his service is rated 10, the hi...ghest on this grading scale. Tom exhibited remarkable patience while he made sure that I received the maximum medical care over the many years I was injured. He finally settled my case for the maximum amount through mediation, and He also requested the insurance company to set aside compensation for me to cover future expenses for my work related accident. Indeed, if anyone needs an outstanding lawyer, Thomas L. Holder is highly recommended.

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
