I was born and raised in Memphis, Tennessee. Prior to going to law school I was a Registered Nurse and Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner. I worked as a Staff Nurse for several years, first on a Pediatric Surgical/Oncology floor and then for three years in Pediatric Intensive Care. After obtaining a Master's Degree in Nursing I worked as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner in the Newborn Center of a major metropolitan medical center. I later moved to New York, where I attended and graduated from Fordham University School of Law. I later moved to Atlanta and successfully passed the Georgia bar, so I am licensed to practice in both New York and Georgia. The first few years of my practice were spent working for medium to large insurance defense firms in Atlanta, where I represented Employers and insurance companies in workers compensation cases and trucking litigation. In 201I decided to start my own law practice representing injured workers in their workers compensation cases throughout the State of Georgia.
I find my current practice very fulfilling. I am grateful to have the opportunity to help injured workers obtain the benefits to which they are entitled. I have found that my prior career as a nurse helps me tremendously in my practice in many ways: I have a unique insight into the healthcare system; I am particularly skilled in reviewing and interpreting medical records; I am adept at interacting with doctors and nurses, understanding firsthand the lingo they use, the challenges they face and most importantly, the process of diagnosis; finally, once a nurse always a nurse, and one of my greatest attributes remains compassion and empathy, traits which serve me well with my clients, who come to me during profoundly difficult times in their lives.

"Carol is a wonderful attorney and is a very strong advocate for her Clients. I would not hesitate to refer a Client to her for help."
"I have known Carol for many years and consider her one of the best in her field. I initially met Carol when she was practicing insurance defense and she was opposing counsel in one of my cases. I found her knowledge of the law and professional demeanor impressive. This has served her well now that she is representing injured workers. She is all too familiar with the "tricks of the trade" of the insurance companies and their lawyers, and zealously represents her clients. I highly recommend Carol."
"I have known Carol for many years. She cares about her clients and works hard to achieve success for them. It is my pleasure to endorse her."
