Biography
Mr. E. Jay Abt has 20 years of legal experience in criminal defense of all serious felony charges and major crimes, including over 50 jury trials to verdict in major felony cases for charges such as murder, rape, child molestation, armed robbery, drug trafficking, kidnapping, and other aggravated felonies. Mr. Abt has also represented individuals who are inexperienced to the criminal justice system who lead good and productive lives. These people make a simple mistake in their lives which can be emotionally costly, damaging to their reputation, and permanently affect their livelihood, family affairs and professions. We strive to undo this damage and return them to their state of normalcy through effective, dedicated and professional representation.

Came to trail unprepared and no documents submitted on my behalf.
Jay is horrible looking into legal advice against this firm.I'm unable to go into detail…think twice.

The absolute worst! Took my money. Never read my file and made a few phone calls.
Jay Abt charged $25,000 to represent me in a misdemeanor case. After 2 years he admitted that he hadn't even read my case file yet. His whole defense was to try and make a few phone calls and try and plea it down. He says that he is extremely busy. Even when he scheduled a meeting to have me come in ...

Replied last April 09, 2019This is review completely false. This client was charged with vehicular homicide which is a very, very serious charge, and requires a lot of strategic preparation. He never gave me a chance to defend him, because he was too busy and in a hurry to be patient and listen to my legal advice. He fired me before we even had a chance to get the case thrown out. I had 2 other vehicular homicide cases I defended at the same time, in the same court, which were completely dismissed. I never pled either of those clients, but they actually listened to their lawyer, unlike Mr. Brunetti.

Awful DUI Attorney
Basically, this attorney will gladly take your money and provide you little if any legal services. You can do much better with one of the higher rated attorneys from this site. He didn’t do anything with my case and almost cost me my career.
