Horribl Attorney Office

This is the worst law firm in Atlanta! Has me 5 different attorneys in their office! Rcommended I get a 39,000 shot for back! Thank god I didn't! They got me stuck with a 5,000 bill and would do nothing in collections and they won't help!!!!!! Stay away from them!!!!!!!

Tried Supporting a Black Business

I made the mistake as being a black man of wanting a black attorney for my case I was incarcerated at the time for a charge I did not commit. I was adamant to my mother to retain a black attorney and unfortunately the one we came up with ‘good reviews’ was Robert James Trial Attorneys. The initial me...eting with Mel whom I was assigned to went left as he was unaware of what my case was about and why he had been assigned the case. I was immediately taken aback because we had paid $3000 to retain this attorney. Mel then told me that I would be able to get a refund on my $3000 after meeting me at Fulton County Jail. However, after calling the office a repeated amount of times to get clarity on the refund process. My Mother and I were told we were not eligible to receive a refund, even though no services had been rendered. They also refused from that point on to even speak with me (their client) from whom the money had come from. I immediately contacted my bank and they refunded me the funds after a thorough investigation. After the office was made aware of my refund they contacted me to be sure we no longer wanted to retain them. The audacity! BUYER BEWARE! I would not hire this attorney for my worst enemy. The way they treated me was reprehensible. I won’t even go into the details of the language used by the assistant, Brandon nor Mel during our phone calls once they realized they weren’t dealing with some ignorant N-word with no education or wealth of knowledge of the law. It’s been months since this ordeal and I retained a highly qualified attorney who has been on my case since they dropped the ball. It doesn’t bring me joy to write this review months later, but I would do a disservice to anyone who may be incarcerated or thinking of retaining them for a loved one and they are strapped on cash. You are better off representing yourself than going with this law firm. Take it from me! RUN! Find you an attorney that is not just black but competent!

Unprofessional, Disorganized, and Unprepared – Avoid This Firm

I reached out to this firm after a family member was arrested over a weekend in Georgia. I’m not from GA, so I had no idea how the bail process worked there. This was the first firm that answered my calls, and I even spoke directly with the owner, Mr. James. I thought it was a great opportunity to su...pport a Black-owned business, and I trusted them with my family member’s case. Initially, things seemed fine. After my family member’s release, we had some positive exchanges with the originally assigned attorney. But from the very beginning, it became clear that case management at this firm was terrible. The original attorney eventually left the firm, yet no one ever called to inform us or to introduce the new attorney. When we followed up ourselves, we were told my family member had been dropped as a client—due to the firm’s own accounting error, failing to properly credit the initial retainer. This is unacceptable. We had to argue with the paralegal just to get this corrected. Despite this rocky start, we gave the firm another chance to introduce the new attorney and do a fresh consultation. That was a complete disaster. The new attorney admitted he had no idea the case had been previously handled by someone else at the firm and came to the meeting completely unprepared—not even familiar with a basic case summary. That is inexcusable. When I asked to speak to a supervisor or the owner, the attorney abruptly ended the conversation, telling me to “call back and request the owner.” It’s now been over two weeks since we’ve requested to speak with the owner and emailed to request a refund, as instructed by their own staff. No one has followed up. If I don’t hear from them by the end of this weekend, I will be filing an ethics complaint. And to the firm: please don’t post a generic “call us to discuss further” reply. You’ve already made it clear you have no intent to resolve this. At this point, you should be calling me. To anyone considering hiring them: save your money and look elsewhere, no matter how desperate you may be. You deserve representation that is respectful, professional, and prepared—this firm was none of those things.

Bad Customer Service

This law firm refused to work my case for a DUI charge. As a result, I was forced to settle for a plea bargain. They didn't even try to fight my case, no motions to suppress evidence and no viable defense stratedy was provided by this law firm. In fact, I had to beg them to go pick up my discovery wh...ich is totally unacceptable, I believe they should be removed from the bar.
