What can I say… my life was nearly ruined through a series of events that could have destroyed my entire life. My first real mistake in life caused by a very brief laps in mental health and things were looking grim. Despite the severity of my personal situation, Kimberly kept me calm and continually answered all my questions. She got my sentence reduced to probation only and after serving 1/2 of my time, I was released with the motion to have my record expunged as though it never happened. I will start off by saying that the reason Kimberly Berry is a criminal defense attorney (in my opinion), is due to the not only is she a very intelligent person, talented, quick, sharp and delightful....the main reason is because she is a compassionate, caring and woman of the utmost integrity. She is one of the most decent human beings I have had the pleasure to ever meet. I was pulled over in July of 2021 for multiple traffic offenses and less safe DUI. My trial took place in August of 2021. All of the other cases that trial week plead out, Ms Berry convinced me to go to trial all along and we made it all the way to trial and she landed us victorious! It was a brutal week in my life but it was necessary to challenge the DUI less safe which I was innocent of as well as challenging the traffic charges. I was visiting Georgia from NYC as I have family members that reside in the Lithonia area. I had a police officer stop my vehicle in the McDonough area back in 2020 at the height of the pandemic. The officer slapped me with 4 tickets: 1) DUI, 2) DUI less safe, 3) Aggressive Driving, and 4) Following a Vehicle too closely. It was a bit nerve racking because there was dash cam recordings, body cam recordings and I fully complied with the field sobriety tests. My breathalyzer test yielded result of 0.14... (legal limit is 0.08 in McDonough). I originally wanted to plead guilty to DUI because this would have been my first DUI offense and I simply wanted this whole debacle put behind me... However, based on the evidence, Kimberly Berry convinced me that this wasn't a good idea and it was my right, if I felt that I was innocent, to take it to trial. She gave me about a 70% chance to beat the charges at trial. I took her advice, and almost 2 years later, I proceeded to take it to trial. It was a grueling cross-examination from the prosecutor but Kimberly was poised and confident in her delivery of my innocence to the jurors. Long story made short, I was acquitted on all charges! I can't tell you how much of a relief it was to walk into the courtroom anticipating fines, community service, and jail time... But instead, walking out with a totally clean slate of Not Guilty on All charges. I'm really appreciative of the work that Kimberly did and I would highly recommend her to ANYONE that requires a reputable and experienced DUI attorney. Thanks again Kimberly! You saved my life! :-)

Kimberly is a great and effective attorney - She proactively sent out requests to postpone license suspension until court and after reviewing the evidence developed a game plan quickly. I could tell she had multiple plans to go about this depending on what deal the prosecutor offered (if any) - She met me at the courthouse, negotiated with the prosecutor and was able to get the charges and fines lowered more than I even thought was possible. As far as my record goes, no DUI! She set expectations in a realistic way (never trust an attorney who guarantees something they don’t have full control of; ie “we can definitely get those charges dropped”) but when it came time to deliver her results were above and beyond. I will be reaching out to Kimberly Berry if and when I find myself in legal trouble again.
