GREAT JOB: THANK YOU VERY MUCH!

I hired Howard Weintraub and Benjamin Alper to handle a criminal matter that I was involved in. When I first called the legal office of Weintraub & Alper, P.C. on a weekend, Howard immediately called me back and Howard and Ben met with me that Monday morning. They began running with my case ...and never looked backwards. Through the efforts of Howard and Ben my case went through the court system in an extremely efficient and expeditious manner and Howard and Ben achieved the result of having my charge dismissed and my arrest record expunged. I cannot thank Howard and Ben enough for their prompt quality representation of me. I highly recommend these two defense lawyers.

WE TRUSTED HOWARD WEINTRAUB AND BEN ALPER WITH OUT SON’S LIFE AND THEY CAME THROUGH—PLEASE TRUST THESE TWO LAWYERS!!

With the current state of affairs with police officers and Black American, as the parents of a young Black male that has never, ever, been in trouble with the law and had just graduated from a prestigious University in Atlanta Georgia, it was mind boggling when he was pulled over in Georgia for what ...I feel was being “Black and driving a nice car”, it was the most frighten thing for us to get a call from our son stating that he had been arrested. He was taken to a police station and was not allowed to call his parents. It was only through persistent calling to the police station that we found out that he needed a telephone account to make calls outside the jail to his parents. We didn’t know the charges, reason, or what was happening to our son. I immediately started to research the lawyers in that area that could handle this case and tell us what was going on with our son. We contacted the Law office of Howard J. Weintraub at 11:45 p.m. We knew it was very late and was hoping to receive a call from him the next morning but approximately 30 minutes later at 12:15 a.m., Howard called us in regards to our son. We were totally shocked that a lawyer would call us at that early time of the morning. Howard did not make any guarantees or promises to us. He explained the legal process to us and told us what to expect. He met with our son at 8:30 a.m. that same morning and went over the case with him and with us. Once again, he never made any guarantees or promises to us or to our son but he did say that he would do everything in his power to get the charges reduced and eventually dismissed. Our son was facing felony drug charges and vehicle violations (tint to dark in car). After our son returned home, we were thankful that he did not end up hurt, beaten, or worst dead as a result of what happened on interstate 85 with these police officers. Howard and Ben were a life saver and life line to us and the legal system. Howard never panicked, worried or stressed but kept us focused on taking care of our son and he and his partner, Ben, taking care of this case. Race, social economic status, education, or religion did not matter to Howard and Ben, only ensuring that our son got the best possible legal representation. They fought for our son as if he was their very own relative and they always followed up with us 2-3 times a week letting us know what was going on with his case. I know that isn’t the norm for lawyers but it was for Howard and Ben. In the end, all felony charges have been dropped and he was approved for a diversion program and once that is complete, his record will be expunged. Howard and Ben did assure us that their work would not be completed until every “I” was dotted and every “T” was crossed for our son and his record is expunged. If you want a lawyer that will speak the truth, not BS you, and fight for your rights, then you want Howard and Ben as your lawyers. It’s not a black or white thing for them, it’s the right thing. This amazing Atlanta law firm looked beyond race and saw our needs…….and we thank God every day for them. They will always be a part of our family.

Howard and Ben are the BEST lawyers in Atlanta!

In November 2013 I received the phone call , from my son, that no mother wants to receive. It was my 20-year-old, college sophomore, and he had been arrested in a small town in southern Georgia. He was pulled over for speeding and the officer said he smelled marijuana and searched the car. In the ...search a small amount of marijuana was discovered in one of the passengers back packs. Because no one claimed ownership of the drug all 5 people were arrested for possession and as the driver of the car criminal liability was placed on my son. My son, who is an honors student, athlete and who had never been in trouble before was in jail for marijuana possession. His goal is to work for the State Department after graduating and this arrest could have a devastating impact on his future. We needed a lawyer and we needed a GREAT one! Howard was recommended to us. The arrest happened over a weekend and we called and left a message on Saturday. Sunday morning bright and early Howard called us back. He actually apologized for not speaking to us on Saturday as he was at a family wedding! We talked for close to an hour and needless to say, that phone call left me with a sense of hope that I had not felt in 24 hours. My son, husband and I met with Howard and Ben the next day. They spent a great deal of time getting to know my son and his character. They also discussed, at length, the charges and outlined a plan to get the charges dropped and expunged from his record. There was no guarantee but we left that meeting hopeful and knew we had the best lawyers on our side. Howard and Ben made us feel confident for our son's future. The case dragged on for a year (small time court system) but the whole time Howard and Ben were in touch with us. We were given the best news before Christmas that our son would have to pay a speeding ticket and the drug charges were dropped and would be expunged from his record. He never even had to step foot in court. This happened just in time for him to be able to leave the country, last week, to study abroad for the semester. Howard and Ben you saved our son's future! We are so grateful Thank you!

HOWARD WEINTRAUB AND BENJAMIN ALPER ARE PHENOMENAL CRIMINAL DEFENSE LAWYERS WHO SAVED ME

Several months ago, while I was driving my car in Georgia, I was pulled over in the afternoon by a police officer who claimed I had an improper level of tint in my windows. After speaking with me and the passengers in my car and with the officer claiming that he smelled an odor of marijuana, my pass...engers and I were ordered out of my car. A search of my car then took place and the police found a quantity of marijuana in the trunk, together with a firearm and a weighing scale. Although these items did not belong to me, the officer arrested me and I was facing felony charges of being in possession of a firearm during the commission of a drug offense and possessing marijuana with the intent to distribute. Although my car was occupied with two passengers, the police placed criminal liability on me. As a young college graduate with a promising career ahead of me in the legal profession, I knew that this day had become a life-changing moment for me and I knew that I needed to retain formidable criminal defense lawyers in Atlanta to help me through this crisis. After making the dreaded telephone call from jail to my parents to advise them of my arrest (my first lifetime arrest) my parents searched for a criminal defense lawyer. At approximately 11 p.m. that evening my mother emailed the Law Offices of Howard J. Weintraub in Atlanta briefly stating my situation and requesting a call from the attorneys when the office opened the next day. To my parents’ amazement and relief, they received a telephone call from Attorney Howard Weintraub himself within a few minutes from when the email had been sent! Howard Weintraub spoke with my parents concerning the legal procedure that I was facing and he took great care at the midnight hour to allay their fears and anxiety. Mr. Weintraub discussed with my parents the law concerning vehicle stops and vehicle searches, and discussed other matters with them. Mr. Weintraub also commiserated with my parents about the devastating impact of the arrest on my future career and he offered relief to my parents by generating a plan – if it worked – that would enable me to forgo a conviction and have the arrest expunged from my record. Although he was careful not to guarantee this result, he was hopeful that he could pull it off. Guess what? Howard Weintraub and his partner Benjamin Black Alper pulled it off! Howard and Ben hit the ground running the next day after I made bail and was released from jail. First, Ben and Howard met with me in their midtown Atlanta office for a conference that took several hours. At this meeting, Ben and Howard went through the facts of my case in painstaking detail. They also took the time and effort to learn about me and my background so that they could explain to the prosecutor that I was not a criminal. After the meeting I felt relieved and I was so thankful to have not one but two smart and tough lawyers in my corner. Howard and Ben routinely kept in touch with me about my case and their progress. Howard and Ben explained that the first step would be to get the felony charges reduced to misdemeanor charges. The prosecutors initially offered to let me plead guilty to the felony charges with a sentence of five years of probation. Howard and Ben would not accept that. After a few more rounds of negotiations, Howard and Ben convinced the prosecutor to drop the charges to misdemeanors. A second prosecutor then came onto my case and offered to let me plead guilty to the misdemeanors with a sentence of one year probation. Howard and Ben would not accept that. After further negotiations and a lengthy presentation to the prosecutors about my character and background, Howard and Ben convinced the prosecutors to let me resolve my case by entering a pretrial diversion program, allowing the charges to be totally dismissed and the arrest expunged from my record: the best possible outcome! Throughout this ordeal, I was so impressed
