Allen Inman Pointer Lightcap

I’m a teacher who currently works in Forsyth County, but formerly worked in DeKalb for 9 years. In April of 2024, I found out that a criminal arrest warrant was taken out on me for an incident that happened at my former school in August of 2023–despite the fact that the incident was investigated by D...eKalb County Schools and resulted in my being found completely innocent of any wrongdoing and allowed to return to my position. When I found out about the warrant and upcoming scheduled hearing, I contacted PAGE (Professional Association of Georgia Educators) and they put me in touch with attorney Allen Lightcap. We won the case (“warrant denied!”) and I would highly recommend Allen to anyone in need of an attorney. I'm a teacher and I was falsely accused of misconduct with a student. I spoke with a detective about the case and answered his questions, and then I consulted several lawyers. Many of them said worrisome things and made me feel like an idiot because I spoke to the detective at all, something I now kn...ow you shouldn't do without consulting a lawyer first. I hope I never need to have an attorney again, but if I do, I'll feel safe knowing that I have Allen on my side.

After 25 years teaching special education and an untarnished and highly regarded reputation in my county, I was unjustly accused of a crime “against” a child. As we got closer to the final calendar call for a trial date, Mr. Lightcap confidently went straight to the top and expertly negotiated all charges be dropped, and my record was restricted from viewing. Allen Lightcap is a dedicated, knowledgeable and compassionate attorney who made me feel like I was important after the worst tragedy of my life, yet he was strong, dedicated and bullish when it mattered most! I would hire him again in a second. Hopefully, I won’t need to, but I know I have a new friend in Allen Lightcap!

Allen just represented me in a case vs a school district. After 33 years and never being involved in anything like this I was scared to death.
