Ross David Grisham

I am so thankful I found Ross Grisham of Grisham & Poole. After the first attorney I met with GUARANTEED me that my case could never be dismissed, I asked around and everyone said Ross Grisham was the guy. At our initial meeting, he told me that his goal was to get all charges dropped, which is exact...ly what I wanted to hear, because I truly felt that was possible with the right attorney. I had an FVA charge, which is taken extremely seriously in GA. One stupid alcohol-fueled fight with your spouse and no criminal record and the state treats you the same as a lifelong wife beater that has their spouse under mind control and doesn't know what's best for her or her family. So, even though my wife begged and pleaded not to press charges, it didn't matter; Because they have so many cases that involve Battered Wife Syndrome and repeat offenders, they assume that's true for every case to protect the victims, regardless of whether or not the victim needs or wants that protection. Because of that, I got a No Contact order as a condition of bond (which is standard for FVA cases); meaning I couldn't go in or anywhere near my own home, I couldn't see or communicate with my own wife in any way (which made it extremely difficult to be a father to my children). I might as well have been in jail for that period of time, because that's exactly what it felt like to me. Thankfully, Ross was able to get the No Contact order dropped very quickly. He took the time to reach out to my wife and explain everything to her (since I was legally not allowed to) and assisted her with everything she had to do in order to drop the No Contact. I never even had to call Ross, even though he said I could whenever I needed to. He understood how devastating the No Contact order was to my family and worked diligently to get it dropped as soon as possible and kept me updated throughout every step of the way. If you hire Ross, trust his advice and do everything he tells you to do, then ask him what you can do above and beyond what he told you to do and do that too. He suggested that I go to counseling at Price Counseling Center, so I did. I went twice a month for the next 15 months. I was hesitant at first, but ultimately all the charges were dropped due to the time and energy that me and my wife put into the counseling sessions with Grace Price. The counseling was an added expense, but well worth it in the end and we both gained much more from it besides just getting the charges dropped, which neither of us anticipated. Ross was also able to get everything taken off of my record, which I told him at the beginning was very important to me, because it prevented me from coaching my son's baseball team and my daughter's basketball team. I should also mention that the first attorney I met with was a family member, so I can't say that Grisham & Poole treats you like family, because in my case, they treated me BETTER than family.

Mr. Grisham recently represented me on a criminal case in Pickens county. His impeccable knowledge of the law, timeless dedication and countless hours of research resulted in evidence being thrown out of my case and a verdict of not guilty on all charges. My case was for a D.U.I and Mr. Grisham, with his great work ethic and strong commitment, had it dropped to reckless driving. Mr. Ross Grisham is a caring, dependable, and honest attorney. In the beginning I was incredibly nervous. Never having dealt with the law and order system, Mr. Grisham led the... way for me and kept me well informed. Before court he always assured me he would do his best job, and he kept his word, and to not stress over everything. Also before court, he let me know the procedures and how everything would work so that I was better prepared emotionally and mentally. He was also very dependable. Whenever I had questions or needed anything, he never hesitated to speak with me and he happily did so. Ross Grisham is a credit to his profession. He is honest and without pretense. I found him to be courteous and professional. I first met Ross immediately following a traumatic and legally challenging incident. I interviewed several possible attorneys and there were three things that immediately se...t him apart from his competition. They were: 1) Although he assured me he would do everything he could to help me, he never promised the impossible. In fact he made it very clear that I had an uphill battle. I did not want someone to mislead me by telling me that finding justice would be a cakewalk. 2) He personally discussed my case with me over the phone as soon as he could and explained the possibilities of how to handle it. 3) Whenever I needed to reach him or other staff members of his firm, there was always someone that I could reach. When this second audience refused to make accommodations for an unjust situation, Ross talked candidly with me about my options. He let me know that I was in a situation where I needed to choose between making a plea and taking the going punishment (for a crime that involved incredibly extenuating circumstances), or requesting my right to a jury trial. He assured me that he was on my side regardless of the choice I made, but that the chances of winning this jury trial may be slim. By now, I wanted to ask a jury of my peers what they thought because I felt railroaded by the Prosecution. Ross was diligent in his preparation of our case. He spent many evenings on it. But he was careful never to “train” or “coach” me about what to say. He knew that my honest answers in my own words would be the best thing for me to use. He arranged for the right expert witness to be at court for the jury trial. He was outstanding during jury selection and his opening statements were interesting and on target. During the examination and cross-examination of witnesses he knew exactly which points were important to bring out before the jury in order that they could come to a just verdict. He also knew when to object to the Prosecution’s actions to prevent them from misleading the jury. Then finally he made a very impassioned plea for justice on my behalf before the jury in his closing statements. On that day, thanks to Ross Grisham, truth and justice prevailed against the odds.
