Corey is by far the best lawyer in Cherokee County. Had two experiences, one he was appointed. He treated me and my family with such care and dignity, that when needed again I retained his expertise . He is a straight shooter, no false promises. If he says you don't have to worry, trust him. You don't. He's never told me anything that did not come to fruition. In my eyes he's a humanitarian, dedicated to seeing true justice and fair treatment for us all. Iv since referred two ppl to him, they both had an outcome that I knew he could deliver. If you ever make a mistake or are a victim of false arrest, or unconstitutional treatment, no matter your circumstances this is the man you call. Follow his advise, its for you not him, and rest assured. He's highly respected by his peers and the courts. I'm sure his partners are as adventacious and competent, but he is who I know and trust. If you find yourself or your family members having to face the judge, keep this man as your lawyer, again following his advise, he can deliver EXACTLY what he says.

After getting a misdemeanor marijuana charge I started talking to several attorneys. Most would promise things or twist words trying to get you to pay them an unjust amount of money. There is only so much an attorney can do for you in the county I live in. Cory was alway honest and up front about my options. He ended up getting me the best plea that made sure my license was not suspended. He was very easy to communicate with via phone, email and they even have an online system to update you through your court proceeding process. I highly recommend him and his team @ Carver & Debord

Coming into this, I was a little hesitant about having a public defender (not that I had a choice) because I felt that I would end up with a lawyer who didn't care because he wasn't a "paid" lawyer. But Cory made me feel like he truly cared about my case. He never rushed me when I was telling him specifics of "that" night when I was unjustly arrested and then some.
On top of being patient with me because of my lack of knowledge about the legal process and long-winded story of my life, he explained everything in detail. I greatly appreciated that.
I appreciated that he treated me as a person in need of help instead of "just another case".
