I found Sean on this site, after a free 60+ minute consultation of him explaining my options, what he would do, and how it would be handled, I hired Sean within two days. Initially my case seemed that it would be easy and maybe that's why he confidentially took it on.
After it proved to not be as easy as we all thought came the back and forth emailing with his secretary Julie about missed acknowledgements (it was sent directly to Sean not her), misspelled names, lack of communication with the other sides lawyer, etc.
I RARELY spoked to him by email OR in person, always Julie. I set up at least 2-3 meetings, to go over some things including redoing specific parts of the parenting plan and they were all cancelled. The most unprofessional one was a meeting he cancelled 30 minutes prior to my showing up (I was en route) then he suggested a Saturday meeting of a holiday weekend.
What took the cake was after all was said and done was the final decree hearing which I had to attend. He didn't even show up; he sent another lawyer, who didn't know my case, didn't know who I was, and guess what THEY NEVER contacted me to let me know, Sean wasn't coming. Incredibly unprofessional and upsetting. But it doesn't end there, I get on the stand and they inform me they don't have my parenting seminar attendance, which in turn means they won't sign the papers. I took the class in February and my court date was in June. The judge signed but then Sean's office, specifically Julie, had to find my certificate. I made sure (because of all the previous mishaps) that I took a picture of it and gave it to the lawyer.
All in all Sean talked a big game, was confident, and I do believe he's as good as he presents, however with two offices, he was clearly in over his head, at least during the time I decided to divorce.

First and foremost, I would like to thank Mr. Whitworth for his hardwork and commitment with my case. I've had custody of my son since he was 4 years old. In 2015, at the age of 8, his biological mom decided she was ready to be a mother and took him away. Not knowing my rights, I was limited with what I could and couldn't do. I reached out to Mr. Whitworth, explained my story with all details. He then told me that I have a great case and that with time, we would get my son back. After the first hearing, my son was able to return home for a temporary order. During this time, Mr. Whitworth continued to work on my case so we would be prepared for the final hearing. After a long year, the final hearing was scheduled. Mr. Whitworth presented all of the documents and preparation to the opposing attorney. They quickly conceded and agreed to making the temporary order a permanent order. I appreciate everything he did for me during that year and a half period. He remained in contact with me through out the entire process. He walked me through how everything would look and gave me tremendous confidence in him and the system. Once again I would like to say thank you to Mr. Sean Whitworth. I don't know where me and my family would be without you. Thanks again!!!

I hired Sean because of his "rate" and favorable reviews. I have 4 children and was faced with a complicated and messy divorce due to the disposition of my marriage. Not only was I divorced in a matter of months, my settlement exceeded my own expectations !
Sean is caring and discreet and he has his clients best interest on his mind.
I would recommend Sean Whitworth!

I was peripherally involved in a case with Sean, who represented a parent in a custody dispute. While everyone else was usually up in arms with drama, including myself, Sean remained collected and focused, and kept the case on track. The case recently resolved at mediation, and the outcome was the best possible scenario for all parties, and most importantly, the baby. Sean is patient and kind to all parties throughout litigation, but can and certainly will, become the staunch advocate that is needed to make sure the law is followed, and his client's legal rights protected. I recommend Sean to anyone who wants to ensure the best possible outcome for themselves and their children in a custody dispute. Custody dipsutes are painful enough as is....you need an attorney who will avoid the drama and stay focused on the lives that will be affected.
