When a mother hears the words life without the possibility of parole your heart sinks and the tears begin to flow. A lot of times and I do mean a lot of times a public defender gets a bad rep for not caring for the client and not doing their best to make sure the defendant gets a fair and honest verd...ict. This is NOT the case with Mr. Scott Drake. Not only did he and Mr Pat work their hardest to ensure justice was severed they tolerated a mother who got on their nerves about her baby boy. Mr Drake told me how he could not have imagined working on this case without Mr Pat’s knowledge and help because it was heartbreaking in so many ways. The two of them cared how my son appeared in court and how even took time to make sure my son knew how much he was loved and supported even when he was not able to see his family.
