I am Joshua Elbaz, a dedicated Georgia attorney and accomplished trial lawyer with a passion for defending my clients’ rights and futures. As a true “Gwinnettian,” I take pride in serving the community I’ve called home my entire life. I grew up in Suwanee, Georgia, and attended both high school and college right here in Gwinnett County. After earning my Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from Georgia Gwinnett College (GGC), I pursued my legal education at Atlanta’s John Marshall Law School, graduating with distinct honors and awards.
During law school, I wasted no time honing my skills in criminal trial work, gaining invaluable experience by participating in over 10 felony jury trials under the mentorship of one of metro Atlanta’s most experienced criminal defense attorneys. After graduating, I further refined my trial skills as an Assistant District Attorney (ADA) in the Gwinnett County District Attorney’s Office, where I prosecuted major felony cases. This insider knowledge of prosecution strategies now empowers me to craft strong, effective defenses for my clients.
Today, I am proud to co-lead Elbaz & Elbaz, LLC, where I specialize in defending clients against DUI, drug charges, violent crimes, domestic violence, probation violations, and more. My practice is rooted in meticulous preparation, aggressive advocacy, and a commitment to achieving the best possible outcomes for every client. Beyond my legal work, I give back to the community as an Adjunct Professor of Legal Studies at Georgia Gwinnett College (GGC), where I inspire the next generation of legal professionals.
I am a member of the Gwinnett County Bar Association, the Georgia Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (GACDL), and The National Trial Lawyers Association, where I’ve been recognized as a Top 40 Under 40 Trial Lawyer. Additionally, in 2023, I was honored by the Gwinnett Young Professionals as a 35 Under 35 winner, further solidifying my connection to the community I serve.
When I’m not in the courtroom or teaching, I enjoy working out, playing sports, and traveling. If you’re facing criminal charges, contact me today to work with a trusted Gwinnett County criminal defense attorney who will fight tirelessly for your rights and future.

When I chose Elbaz & Elbaz as my representation it was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. I’ve known Joshua for a while because he was friends with my brother when I was younger. I got his number and texted him that I was in a legal situation and wanted to see if he could talk. I hadn’t talked...

I can’t express how grateful I am to be represented by Joshua Elbaz! I was dealing with a drug charge that I was facing prison time for and had hired Mr. Elbaz late into my case in desperate need of help. When all the other attorneys I called declined to help me saying it was either too late or that ...
