I hired Mr Drake to represent me for a case of trafficking possession with intent and position Mr Drake was very ineffective and totally unprofessional Mr Drake failed to question any of the states witnesses false testimony contradictory testimony mishandled undocumented and maybe even planted eviden...ce Mr Drake also informed me my charge carried a maximum penalty of 30 years I am now serving a 40-year sentence under O.C.G.A 17- 10 - 7 (c) when Mr Drake failed to object to the state presenting officer testimony are the evidence the state produced the testimony the officer gave contradict the evidence and the evidence contradicts the documentation of that evidence if this would have been brought up at trial in front of the jury the jury would have seen the case a lot different Mr Drake misrepresented the penalty of my charge when he notified me that I'm maximum of 30 years after being found guilty the judge notified me that my maximum charge was the last sentence I will send it to 40 years the state relied on three prior convictions to enhance my sentence under 17 - 10-7 and Mr Drake did not object or require the state to produce credible evidence of those prior convictions I am now in the process of a habeas corpus that I have filed him ineffective I would not recommend this attorney for anyone that cares about their freedom Scott Drake failed to show up at 2:00 hearings he did refund $500 of the $10,000 I was charged for not showing up I hired Mr Drake because someone had recommended him at trial three officers testify against me I informed Drake that I had never seen one of the officers and the state claims he was the booking officer the night I was arrested the transport officers report shows a different officer as being the booking officer his second report also shows that it was a different officer he testifies at trial that it was a different officer and Mr Drake failed to even cross-examine this witness
