David Michael Lawler

I don’t normally write online reviews, but in this case, I must… we found THE MAN when it comes to family law and that man is David Lawler. I've been through a lot of attorneys battling my ex-husband over the years and I’ve done countless hours of research to find the best attorneys… all were disapp...ointing, until now. I knew David Lawler from doing a real estate closing and our wills. We were thrilled to learn he also did family law. A VERY long story short, he blew my ex-husband’s attorney away. His opening and closing arguments were genius, and his crosses were on the fly but spot on. More importantly, his arguments were impassioned. He cared about what happened to us, and it showed. I’ve never been more thankful to anyone in my life. David Lawler is an amazing litigator! If you need someone to fight for you and your family, I can’t possibly recommend him more highly! Call David Lawler!

I had a couple of contracts that were written by lawyers so I needed someone to translate the legaleze. When I first contacted him he told me his hourly rate and given the length of those contracts it would probably take about an hour and a half. I figured that meant 2 hours for sure. He thorough...ly reviewed the contracts in a very timely manner, answering all my questions and brought up a few things I never thought about asking. Then he said he only had an hour into it. I couldn't believe it! I figured when he said 1.5 hours that meant 2 hours but surely nothing less than 1.5. If only my auto mechanic could take a cue from Mr. Lawler. Whatever legal needs I have in the future David Lawler will be the first call I make.

I hired David Lawler to represent me and after speaking with him I was happy and excited to have him represent me. As the case progressed I found myself wondering if he was "on my side." I rarely knew what was going on with my case and most of my phone calls were not returned. Once my case ran into "...resistance" from the opposing party (duh, that's why lawyers are involved), he did the opposite of what I hired him to do. He goal seemed to be finding a middle ground, NOT pursuing the things I HIRED him to do.

Here it is, my first ever review. I have been working with David now since July when I filed for divorce, and I feel I owe him a thanks. I have had many questions and David has always responded in a timely fashion. We tried mediation and he was as good as I could ask for considering my spouse is a... very difficult, unfair, and greedy person. During mediation he worked out a fair agreement but was later not excepted by her family. Now they want more and we are going to court. I feel with David as my counsel we will prevail in the end, and with David's experience and knowledge he will be able to present a case to the judge that will result in a fair and reasonable arraingement.
