Shawna M. Woods

Hiring Shawna Woods was WORST mistake I ever made for my divorce proceedings. She recommended I drop my TPO, she went along with the opposing counsel to have my case transferred to Juvenile Court, even though the Superior Court Judge was opposed to the transfer. She went along with the opposing cou...nsel ON EVERYTHING, she DID NOT PROTECT HER CLIENT AT ALL!!. After She agreed to have my case transferred, she filed out because I didn’t pay her more money. We had an emergency hearing, where I was awarded temporary child support/ alimony. However, she never requested a start date for payments!! OMG! After trial, I asked her when will my payments start. Shawna started “I don’t know, when does he get paid, every two weeks?” She then went on to ask me for an additional 1,500 by the end of the week, or she would have to quit my case. Nonetheless, she quit my case by the end of the weekl. She left me in Juvenile Court to defend myself (pro se) for 2 hearings ( during my first hearing is when I had to request Child Support/Alimony payments start dates) , until I was able to secure another attorney by final trial . She made my divorce HELL!! I’m still in a drawn out 2 year litigation (on appeal) , because of her agreeing to transfer my divorce case to Juvenile and advising me to drop my TPO from an abusive husband.

Shawna was my attorney for my divorce and TPO hearing. She completely dropped the ball on a clear black and white case.
