Biography
I was born in Lancaster, South Carolina and grew up several miles away in the small town of Great Falls. I graduated from Great Falls High School in 2006 with honors.
Following high school, I studied political science and pre-law at Coastal Carolina University (CCU) in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. While attending CCU, I was a member of the Dean’s List for six consecutive semesters. I graduated from CCU in May 2010 with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and a minor in Pre-Law, both with cum laude honors.
In July 2010, I moved to Charleston, South Carolina and accepted a position at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) as an administrative specialist acting directly under the Director of Hepatology. While employed at MUSC, I studied for and successfully completed the Law School Admission Test (LSAT).
In August 2011, I was accepted into, and became a student at, the Charleston School of Law (CSOL). While a student at CSOL, I received numerous accolades (Six CALI Awards) and acted both as an Articles Editor with Resolved: Journal of Alternative Dispute Resolution and a member of the Criminal Law Society. It was at this point that I discovered my true passion—criminal defense.
Thereafter, in December 2013, I received my juris doctorate from CSOL. In February 2014, I took the South Carolina Bar Exam and shortly thereafter discovered that I had been successful in doing so. I was later sworn in as a new member of the South Carolina Bar on May 19, 2014. Old legal issue
