Robert M Sutton Jr

Mr. Sutton is a repeat recipient of the AVVO Client's Choice Award based on exceptional client reviews from locals and visitors alike. He graduated from The Citadel in 1985 as a Distinguished Military Graduate. He then served five years as a U. S. Army Armor/Cavalry Officer, including three years with the 1st Armored Division in Germany. He earned two Army Commendation Medals and Airborne and Air Assault badges. He graduated from the University of South Carolina School of Law in 1993 and then worked for a local trial judge and with a local litigation firm before opening the Sutton Law Firm, PC, in Myrtle Beach in 1995.  

He has earned an outstanding reputation by obtaining excellent results for clients charged with DUI/DUAC and criminal offenses (drug cases, domestic violence, assault, alcohol violations, breach of trust etc.), both in the courtroom and through negotiation. He is dedicated to getting each client the best result possible and that is reflected in his numerous superb client reviews. He has obtained outstanding results in even the toughest of cases. He gives each case personal attention and cares about each client as a person.  He gives every client's cause his best because he strongly believes that the best form of advertising is getting great results for clients.  

He is a long time  member of the National College for DUI Defense, regularly attends seminars to keep up with new trends in DUI and criminal defense, is a  former Board Member and President of the Grand Strand Humane Society,  Past President of Coastal Carolina Sertoma, and a Past Vice President and Circuit Representative of the S.C. Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. He has taught criminal law related subjects at Horry-Georgetown Tech, lectured on DUI and criminal law topics in legal seminars throughout the state, taught at the SC Court Administration Course for New Judges and Magistrates, and has had articles on DUI and criminal law matters published in SC Lawyers Weekly and the SC Bar magazine.
