Client and Client’s husband were then charged with Criminal Domestic Violence in the First Degree and were transported to J. Reuben Long Detention Center. Client was released on a $2,500 Personal Recognizance bond the following morning.

Florence County Police performed a traffic stop on Defendant. A subsequent search of Defendant revealed a small amount of Marijuana. Defendant was then charged with Simple Possession of Marijuana (SPM ... ). Shortly thereafter, at his first court appearance, Defendant pleaded guilty to SPM. However, Defendant was not afforded his constitutionally guaranteed rights immediately prior to giving his plea. For this reason, upon motion, Defendant’s guilty plea was set aside and his case was reopened.
