I have two DUI's on my record and therefore lost my license for four years and once that for years was up I was required to have an ignition interlock system in the vehicle I was going to be driving for three years. Towards the end of my three year requirement, for what ever reason the breathalyzer ...was recording false readings. Two of which were of a high enough BAC to grab the attention of NC DMV. The breathalyzer has to be calibrated every two months and any detection of alcohol is recorded and sent to DMV. As a result the DMV decided to try (I say try because Emily prevented that attempt) and suspend my license for one year. I got a letter in the mail stating this and I only had four or five days to submit a request for a hearing or the suspension would take affect. Did my research and found Emily and called to set up a consultation. She was extremely professional, helpful, and understanding. I explained my situation and she immediately knew how she was going to approach the situation. She explained what she thought was going on and why. She had dealt with similar cases and had positive outcomes. During our communications back and fourth before the hearing she was always quick to return my calls, patient with any questions I had, and answered them fully and to where I was satisfied with her feedback. Before the hearing she explained how it was going to go, the tendencies of the hearing officer and what would be the outcome from a positive and negative side. She was always truthful, never told me just what I wanted to hear. In other words she never said she was one hundred percent sure I would keep my license, just that she would so everything she could to insure I would be able to keep it. Needless to say the hearing went through without any problems. She was ready for every question from the hearing officer, as well as professional in every aspect of the process. I would recommend her 100 percent and would have her represent me again if it came down to it!!
