Very knowledgeable and friendly!

I contacted Keith regarding restoration of my gun rights to see if I would need to retain his services. He informed me on his experience and guided me on what I would need to do involving my situation. I told him I was waiting on some more info and he told me just to send it to him and he would take ...a look. I had several email and phone correspondences. In the end he did not think I would need to retain his services and felt I was able to move forward on my own. Thank you Keith for all your help! I would highly recommend him for your next case.

Excellent experience

Mr. Williams was very knowledgeable and helpful throughout the process of my expungement. He got to work right away, explained every detail of the procedure, and kept me informed of what was going on with my case every step of the way. I never once felt like we were "wasting time" nor regretted hirin...g his office to handle my issue. Thanks to the expertise of Mr. Williams and his staff, the process was simple, understandable, completed well before I had anticipated and I can finally move past the mistakes I made when I was younger. I only wish I had contacted them sooner.

Very Professional

Contacted Mr. Williams via his website and received a call from him the next day. Mr. Williams was very prompt, personable, and honest in his discussions of my situation. During the course of my expungement application process he kept me informed and very accurately outlined the process and timing ...it would take. Had a successful conclusion and all of the advise and information provided was accurate.

Attorney of the Year!!

The review title say's it all. With his positive attitude and knowledge of the law, Keith kept he well informed of all my options and really looked at the person he was representing. My hearing had its moments but we prevailed and my petition was granted.

Keith Williams - a member of the "exceptional" class

I sought Keith's counsel on felony charges in 2013, and have used his services and advice on a couple of occasions since then. There are lots of "good" lawyers out there. There are quite a few esteemed, respected ones who are lauded for their legal knowledge. Then, there is an exclusive class of ..."exceptional" attorneys, which few qualify to be in. What makes one an exceptional attorney? Far more than legal knowledge, more, even, than the ability to win high-profile cases. To be truly exceptional, an attorney should have all these, plus the desire and ability to understand his clients, to have empathy, to convey respect, to understand the person's life and total circumstances, and - to use a medical analogy - treat the patient, not the disease. Keith Williams is one of those rare, exceptional attorneys who has top-notch legal knowledge, two decades of high-profile wins under his belt, but of equal importance, the ability to listen, to give respect, to instill confidence and reassurance in an uncertain time, and to care - a rare combination of traits that a good person in uncertain times wants. You will be hard-pressed to do better than Keith Williams if you are facing legal challenges, Federal or State, in Eastern North Carolina.

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
