Issues with Responsiveness and Case Preparation

I was represented by Joshua Schrecongost. I retained this firm expecting timely communication and proactive case management. Unfortunately, my experience did not meet those expectations. Despite multiple written requests and follow-ups, there were delays in responsiveness and a lack of follow-...through on key items necessary to prepare for court. As deadlines approached, I found that important aspects of the case had not been developed. Ultimately, the firm withdrew from representation days before a scheduled hearing, which required me to move forward without counsel on short notice. I also had concerns regarding billing, including charges related to internal discussions that appeared to stem from gaps in communication and case handling. While I appreciate the efforts made toward the end to address the situation, the overall experience was challenging, particularly given the timing. I would encourage others to clearly define expectations regarding communication, case preparation, and billing at the outset.

Poor service. Not recommended.

Richard was lazy counsel in my opinion. He did not do his do his due diligence. Appearing before the judge, with him as my counsel, he did not even know the facts of my case which had been provided him months prior to the scheduled court date. His lack of knowledge of the case tripled my cost when..., in my opinion, Richard should have had proper familiarization of the material facts in order to properly present the case. As such, eliminating the need to incur subsequent legal expenses. When billed, I asked numerous times for proof and results of what I was billed for via mail. I never received a response.

Dear Anonymous, Thank you so much for your comment. I truly wish that these comments were not anonymous so we could address the issues with reviewers who claim to be clients. Sometimes we feel like reviews are created by opposing parties who lose to us in Court. There are a lot of those as we prevail often - ask a real client. This review is unlikely written by a client of ours. I, Rick Friedman, have never been called, 'Richard" as referenced above. Further, anyone who knows our firm would never use the word "lazy" to describe me or anyone at our firm. Additionally, we ALWAYS respond to questions from clients whether it is about their case or about billing issues. Rick Friedman is very helpful, direct and timely.

I've watched Mr. Friedman go above and beyond not only during the week, but also contacted me on weekends until the tasks at hand got done. He is dedicated, motivated and passionate about helping people.
