Richard Allen Friedman II

The firm over charges - he tells you it will be one amount which could be a $1,000 and then in the end will end up charging you $30,000. He will call you constantly for money. His staff does not communicate with each other, so when they do go to court, they are clueless and not pre-paired. I would em...ail them, call them, and update them constantly and still they would get it wrong. His one associate that first went to court with me, just sat there and did not say a word! I forgot she was in the court room... I found out thru co-workers that they had the same bad experience with this firm.

Richard was lazy counsel in my opinion. He did not do his do his due diligence. Appearing before the judge, with him as my counsel, he did not even know the facts of my case which had been provided him months prior to the scheduled court date. His lack of knowledge of the case tripled my cost when..., in my opinion, Richard should have had proper familiarization of the material facts in order to properly present the case. As such, eliminating the need to incur subsequent legal expenses. When billed, I asked numerous times for proof and results of what I was billed for via mail. I never received a response.

Mr. Friedman represented me in my child support case. In the order, written by his firm, I was owed $10,000 in child support arrears to be paid in small payments over a protracted period of time. (I later learned I was entitled to the child support arrears and DCSE would have garnished my ex's pay an...d seized his tax return, had Friedman not written this extended payment schedule in the order. This was something a family law attorney should be aware of and advocate for their clients). Knowing their firm negotiated this disadvantaged order, he then proceeded to sue me for being unable to pay legal fees. My inability to pay was directly related to their poor knowledge of child support law and inability to advocate for client rights. In addition to this significant deficiency, he moved forward with legal action attempting to garnish my wages for payment of legal fees with his firm. I attempted to make a payment that was affordable within the awarded child support payments but he was unwilling to accept the payment I could make. This directly resulted in bankruptcy as the only option available allowing me to support my child with the deficient order created by Friedman Law.

I hired Mr. Friedman to represent me in my custody case. I was not happy with my previous attorney and was looking for new representation. When I first met with him, I was extremely stressed, as this case had been going on for years and I needed resolution. I immediately felt comfortable with him ...and his staff. From the first meeting forward, I was confident that I made the right decision to retain his firm. I had never felt more in control of my situation, and was finally seeing progress in my case! Mr. Friedman is very knowledgeable and compassionate, and I felt that he really cared about what was best for me and my children. The fees were expensive, but worth every penny. My case has now been resolved to my satisfaction and I couldn't be happier!
