I am an AV Preeminent personal injury and workers compensation attorney who has practiced exclusively on behalf of injured people for the last 26+ years. I practice out of our firm's Front Royal and Warrenton offices In my Front Royal office, I serve the Northern Shenandoah Valley including Winchester, Frederick County, Warren County, Page County and Shenandoah County. In our Warrenton office, we serve Rappahanock County, Fauquier County,western Prince William County, Haymareket, Gainesville, and Warrenton.

I am an active member of the Virginia Trial Lawyers Association, Workers Compensation Section as well as the Workers Injury Law & Advocacy Group (WILG), a national workers compensation rights group. I am a member and serve on the Rules Subcommittee of the Virginia Workers Compensation American Inn of Court. I have also been recently named to the Virginia panel of personal injury mediators/arbitrators for National Arbitration and Mediation, a leading national alternate dispute resolution provider.

. I will typically meet with my new clients for 1-2 hours during our initial free consultation so I can fully understand the nature of your case, explain your rights and answer your questions as completely as possible.

Before I joined my current firm, I served as a military attorney in the US Army JAG Corps as a Captain in the 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) from 1986-1989.

I have been married to my wife Susan for over 26 years and we have three daughters. My wife is a kindergarten teacher at a local elementary school in Stephens City,Va.

Very Helpful and Informative !

Had trouble with insurance companies following an accident, Mr Lauer was fantastic at helping me understand everything I needed to do! I highly recommend Mr Lauer and the Law Firm! They are great at explaining and figuring out where you need to go in your case!

Workers Compensation

Mr. Lauer is the perfect attorney if you have a workers compensation case that involves a serious long term, career ending injury. Or any workers Comp for that matter. He is always one step ahead of the Vocational Counselors and the Insurance Adjusters. Mr. Lauer and his staff of paralegals prepare you for everything you have to deal with when it comes to workers comp. After three years and turning down numerous offers I received a very nice settlement

Workers Comp.

I had an accident at work, and have been placed on Temp. Total Disability. I have been seeing the Doctor, and a Physical Therapist. I had been told that I can return to work on light duty, but did not agree with this decision, and did not know my rights. I had seen Mr. Lauer on line, and had seen that he had many cases involving injury, and workers comp. and that he offered consultation at no cost. I had always thought that getting an Lawyer was for sue cases, and I didn't want to sue anybody, or cause any problems just had questions on what my rights were, and what were my job's obligations concerning my injury. I filled out the online information, and the next day his office called me , and set up an appointment. I became nervous about going through with this appointment because I felt that I may be making problems, and I am not one to make problems for anybody. My family encouraged me to write down my questions, and go to this appointment. I went, and OMG, I was so very pleased. Mr. Lauer was so down to earth, and full of knowledge. He made me feel so comfortable, and answered all of my questions, before I asked them. He gave me consultation in a relaxed atmosphere, and never watched the clock. He told me things that will help with my situation at work. He told me things that were very important, and comforting to know. I felt like I was talking to a friend, and I am very grateful to him. I so reccoment him.

Could not have had a better attorney - without Mr. Lauer I would undoubtedly have lost my legal protections

Mr. Lauer worked with me for four years to resolve my Workers Compensation case, beginning in 2010. He tirelessly compiled medical, legal, financial, and other documentation to ensure the settlement reached was favorable to me. He has a deep understanding of Workers Compensation law in Virginia, keeps abreast of changes to the law, and informed me when a change affected my case. I never felt like just a case to Mr. Lauer; I believe he was and is truly concerned about my welfare. His counsel was invaluable throughout this case, and I could not have asked for a better attorney or advocate.
