By chance I looked for and found Ms. Sharon Filipour about 6 years ago. She’s always the true attorney that I am asking for: kind, honest, professional, trustworthy, all in the top level. She took care of my problems like her own. The thing I most admire about Sharon is her kindness, her classy ch...aracters. She truly reminds me of Abraham Lincoln, an honest attorney that I read about. Today is November 24, the Wednesday before Thanksgiving 2021 and I bought a bouquet, coming to her office to show my gratitude to her, belatedly. Unfortunately her office is closed for the holidays but this gives me the chance to write this review which I almost never did on anything. I am forever grateful to her professional service

I trust Sharon. Sharon is a good, honest person in addition to being an excellent attorney and advocate. She is smart. She is persuasive. She knows the law. She has decades of experience. She knows the courts and the personalities of the judges. She understands people. I think she got the measu...re of me right away (in a good way). In the terrible time I needed her services, it was a great comfort to feel understood. I must admit that on two occasions, I was certain that my ex would do one thing and Sharon called things differently. She was right both times. Sharon comes across as a sweet grandmotherly type. She is. There is no "but..." Still, as you get to know her and see her in action, you also see just how shrewd, smart and tough she is. Sharon will clearly tell you the realities of how the system works, determine the best strategy and work tirelessly for you. You will soon realize that she genuinely cares about you as a person. Sharon works hard. She also works hard to keep your costs down. It would be to many attorney's advantage to always litigate. Because she cares about her client, she strives to keep them out of tens of thousands of dollars litigation costs. If litigation were to happen, I am certain she would be a firey, capable, worthy advocate, but it says a lot that she would rather look out for you first. In the absolute worst time of my life, I did not expect to find a friend. Yet, she has become one. She also has a truly excellent recipe for Persian rice.

I could not have asked for a better outcome and more importantly a better lawyer. Mrs. Sharon Filipour is fantastic and is in my opinion the best divorce lawyer in North Virginia. My top reasons why Mrs. Filipour is the best choice for divorce proceedings: 1. My interests were her priority. ...I had some non-negotiable issues that she fought for and I was eventually awarded in the divorce settlement. She listened, she listened and then she listened more. She understood what was important to me in these proceedings and in the end I got what I most wanted... my kids. 2. She found a solution. After my initial meeting with her, she took all the emotionally charged narrative I provided her and put it into a simple plan. I left on day one with a clear understanding of the path forward to a fair and realistic resolution. 3. Unquestionable integrity. Kindly told me when I was wrong and gave me honest opinions which allowed me to form realistic expectations. 4. Incredibly intelligent. She navigated through the negotiations with ease and confidence. She was able to thoroughly assess the situation, find an appropriate response, and deliver the message effectively. Clearly this was not her first case.. 5. Cost effective and well worth every penny. Her rates are fair and she maximized her efforts and minimized my costs in the long run. My first lawyer was 3x times her cost who kept adding additional services like Private Investigators, mediators, requesting frivolous depositions, mental health counselors, and fee on top of fee for various services. I felt like I was being swindled. Mrs. Filipour, on the other hand, charged me for what was necessary and respected my financial situation. Best of all, I received a very positive outcome saving thousands, if not millions, of my future earnings. I respected that she never took advantage of my vulnerability by recommending third party solutions “I know a guy” or added costs because I communicated an opportunity. 6. She knows how to win. I was amazed at her ability to out wit and out maneuver the opposing lawyer. At times providing him solutions that he agreed with solely based on her delivery. It was incredible to watch her walk through this process so confidently and almost effortlessly. 7. She cares. She truly took an interest in my kids and I. Offered solutions to dilemmas I faced while going through this emotionally draining situation. Very empathetic and just kind. She’s a truly wonderful and caring person. Mrs. Filipour is someone you want in your foxhole (I’m retired Army Officer) when you’re fighting for what is most important to you (your kids) and have everything you have worked for all your life on the line. She provided me exceedingly competent knowledge and insight in divorce case law and did so in a way that helped me tremendously in one of the most trying times in my life.
