Garrett Douglas Green

Garrett Green is great. I got a reckless driving charge in November. My case was a little weird, because I had admitted to drinking when I got pulled over for running a red light. The cop pulled me out and gave me a field sobriety test. I passed the field sobriety test because, some say because I ha...ve a horseshoe up my ***. The cop then proceeded to ask me to blow, But I refused. Since the cop told me I passed the field sobriety test he really did not have probable cause to ask me to blow, so when I refused he could not do anything about it. He let me go but gave me a reckless driving charge because he was obviously mad that he could not get me on drinking and driving. I called Garret Green, and from the second I spoke with him he made me feel at ease and explained the process with straight facts and no BS. His staff responded every time I had a question and kept me in the loop 100%. Garret went on my behalf to the court date and I did not even have to show up. I got a call later in the day that after some tough negotiating with the prosecutor, I had my misdemeanor charge dropped down to improper driving. Was a 200 fine with small court fees but honestly that is much better then a Misdemeanor charge following me around for 11 years. Something I cannot afford. I came across Nichols and Green paperwork today so i decided to review my case from about 3-4 years ago. Green sold me on many creative defenses for my reckless driving ticket and told me all the different avenues to clear me of these accusations. I was convinced that he would work with everything ...he could to present as evidence of my innocence. Turns out, once you sign the contract, he will show up late to court and try to convince/scare you into a plea bargain. He was not communicative through the span as my lawyer and clearly didnt think my case was anything but an easy paycheck. I guess thats the routine to take a quick plea bargain rather than put in the work and show you care. I shouldn't have taken the recommendation from my ex-girlfriend and every lawyer i have come across since has been better than Garrett Green

I was charged with DUI with elevated BAC while in a parked car. First offense. The penalties and potential outcomes looked grim. Mr. Green had my best interest at heart from the beginning. He listened to me. Cared about my concerns and did the very best to keep me informed of what was happeneing and ...how to make sure no stone was left unturned. I appreciated his straightforwardness and honesty throughout the process. He was able to get a mandatory jail sentence of 10 days to a suspended sentence (no jail time). Garrett was extremely helpful and understanding. I never had to get an attorney for anything before, and he took time and explained everything to me and answered all of my questions. He was able to get my criminal misdemeanor reckless driving charge dropped to $100 traffic infraction and I didn't eve...n have to miss any work to come to court. We found Mr. Green through the brochure received in the mail after receiving a reckless driving ticket while on my motorcycle. Based on the speed on a main road in Fairfax City and some previous history of speeding tickets, we knew it was very possible to be facing jail time, huge points, high fines..., loss of license, etc. After speaking with Mr. Green the first time, I knew he was the best fit for our case. As I was merging into traffic, the police officer raced up to me, pulled me over, and said I was doing upwards of 70 mph. However, on the ticket, he wrote that I was doing 80 mph in a 55 mph zone. This information was based on his pace to catch up to me, not by radar. Due to the history and the severity of having 2 cases almost back to back, we turned to Mr. Green again. He was able to go to court on my behalf so I was able to waive my appearance and not take another day off of work. He worked with the prosecutor and the case was dismissed (Nolle prosequi). I received an email approximately 2-3 hours after the scheduled case time with this information. Thank goodness for Mr. Green and his staff. We are so happy he was able to help us through two very difficult situations. We would gladly recommend him to anyone facing similar charges.
