Adam Sean Cohen

I had a serious case that needed the best lawyer in town. My friend recommended me one but was not really crazy about it. Instead, I searched in the internet. I saw the lists of lawyers and their pictures. There were so many of them. However, when I saw atty. Adam Cohen picture, my instinct kicked in.... I knew this was the right person for me. I hired Adam Sean Cohen for a speeding ticket (95 in a 55 mph). Simple enough. Although it is not the crime of the century, he treated me, and my case with the utmost attention. I was arrested and charged with multiple criminal offenses (handgun in vehicle, resisting arrest, failure to obey, etc.) and traffic offenses including Driving Under the Influence/Driving While Impaired. With the severe criminal penalties I was facing (jail, fines, points, etc.), as well as the poten...tial loss of my driver's license for 120 days through the Office of Administrative Hearings (the police say I refused to take a breathalyzer, but, they never offered it), this was a major fork in the road in my life. I have never been arrested before nor do I have any criminal record. I have an excellent driving history too. I can honestly say that the police fabricated nearly all of the charges against me because I attempted to assert my constitutional rights after being stopped because I was driving very early in the morning in a nice car. I knew that it was not going to be easy to go up against the multiple police officers that were listed as witnesses against me. I needed a lawyer that was aggressive, fearless, and savvy. I started my search and consulted with many attorneys before finally being referred to Adam Sean Cohen (by a former client of his). The former client was very enthusiastic about him, but, of course, I wanted to formulate my own opinion. I was losing hope about my situation, because, universally, each of the other attorneys I spoke with immediately took the approach that the best thing to do was to try to work out a plea deal because the charges were very serious and it was going to be "impossible to prove that the police fabricated the allegations". The road we traveled was very long, including 6 court proceedings over the course of 6 months, but, he was confident, upbeat, and PREPARED each and every time. This was important because I was having a hard time remaining confident as each trial date approached because of the magnitude of my situation. He never misled me about my case, and I always felt that I had a good sense of the realities of my situation. I went into each hearing at peace because I knew what the possible outcomes could be and I knew he was going to fight for me and my rights. As a side note, furthering my confidence in Mr. Cohen, during a break at one of the Court appearances, several other lawyers were gathered around Mr. Cohen because he had formulated a very unique legal argument in my case that the other lawyers had never thought of before. It was funny because it was almost like he was giving a seminar to the other lawyers about it. They all wanted HIS card. As strange as it may sound, I was very proud that he was my lawyer. I am sure if you have read this far, you want to know the outcome. Mr. Cohen was able to get all of the criminal and traffic charges against me DROPPED. He was also able to get me my driver’s license back after Mr. Cohen convinced the Judge at the Office of Administrative Hearings that I had done nothing wrong. I would have been happy, under the circumstances I was facing, with getting at least 1 miracle, but, I was able to get 3. Even though I did nothing wrong, the system was coming after me, and unfortunately, that put me in a very bad position.
