Adam Sean Cohen has been admitted to the practice of law before the Supreme Court of the United State of America; the United States District Court for the District of Maryland; and the Maryland Court of Appeals.
He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Maryland at College Park in 1993 where he studied criminal justice and criminology. He received his Law Degree from Widener University School of Law in 1996.
He is a partner in THE COHEN LAW FIRM, A Professional Corporation, which is a general practice providing representation including Criminal, Civil, Landlord/Tenant, Collection, Family Law, Juvenile, Workers’ Compensation, Police Misconduct, Traffic . . . etc.
He has served as (1) President of the Bar Association of Baltimore City; (2) President of the Baltimore Bar Foundation; (3) Trustee of the Monumental Bar Foundation, (4) Executive Committee of Citizenship Law Related Education Program Committee (CLREP); (5) Professionalism Course Faculty and Committee; (6) Executive Committee of the MSBA Leadership Academy; (6) Vice President, A Step Closer Foundation, Inc.; and (7) Board Member of Tuerk House, Inc.
In 2002 he was invited to become a fellow in the highly selective ranks of the Maryland Bar Foundation. In 2005 he was again honored and invited to become a fellow of the Baltimore Bar Foundation.
He is the Past Chair of the Maryland State Bar Association Public Awareness Committee, a position he held from 1999 - 2007; Past Chair of BABC, CLE and Events Committee where he served from 2006-2007; Past Chair of the Membership Committee where he served from 2002 - 2004; and Past Chair of the Partnership in Education Committee where he served from 1997-2001.
He is also a member of the Maryland Criminal Defense Attorneys Association (MCDAA); and the Maryland Association for Justice (MAJ).

Some people think that I ONLY handle criminal cases or serious traffic, BUT, I also like to get involved in cases where people are being taken advantage of. That happens a lot in car accidents (personal injury) where the other person lies to their insurance company and then the claim is denied. Helping you felt great because the loss of your vehicle was bad enough but the salt in the wound was the insurance company saying that you caused the accident. I’m glad you can put this all behind you. Thanks again for your review.

Replied last May 31, 2019Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. There is nothing more frustrating than when an INNOCENT law abiding citizen gets caught up in the system. Unfortunately, there are people all over the place that have agendas and know how to use the system and manipulate hard working law enforcement officers to try to get what they want. I don't fault the law enforcement officers at all. The worst part is that any time law enforcement is focusing time on fake victims, the REAL VICTIMS that need the full attention of law enforcement get ignored. I am glad that we were able to short circuit the "victims" efforts and obtain an acquittal for you. JUSTICE WAS SERVED.
